So, who's jetting off on holiday, or has exams? I have neither, but I see many people going absent for similar reasons. Inevitably, this is the slow period of modding, quite likely to drag on til late August. Regardless, many of us are still around, perhaps waiting for essential modelers or scriptors to get their tanned hides back to work! What do you plan to do during this time? Would anyone be interested in some small mapping challenges? Or fun collaboration? Lets hear some ideas! |

I plan on entering some spell contests, a first for me :D Gotta work on my map more :D so no breaks for me! (cept for a week vacation coming soon, but that just means more time to think) |

I plan to finish AotZ 2.00, get it bugless and accepted here, and then relax and code random stuff for random people. I don't really know where to go after that. I'll enter every spell contest until I finally get a vote, if that says anything. :P I might start something else up, but who knows. It does get really annoying having very little technical support for a map when you make it. I wish I could just ask random people for a model or a skin, but I can't because I just don't have those connections. Perhaps I should just hang out around here and see what's up. Who knows? |

I'm going to continiue having a bunch of projects on my to-do list and not getting any work done on them because of my job/faculty and general lack of organisation of my time. |

Anitarf, I'm right there with you (except I don't have a job). I'll end up putting everything onto my to-do list and never do it becuase I have the attention span of the keyboard I'm typing on. |

It's only three more days for me until my last exam. From then on, I'll be focused on Masters of Magic till I finish it, doing some voice acting on the side, then go on a more lenient schedule for Night Elven Village. Apart from that, my personal studies, HarshlandsMUD and copious doses of freeloading will keep me busy. I don't think I'll be entering any spell sessions until I start work on a certain campaign of mine, and that may end up taking place on an entirely different RTS, should a better editor emerge in the meantime. But yeah, I feel for ya. Real life can leave your plans a jumbled mess sometimes. I'm open to the idea of collaborations, as long as I can actually fit them into my schedule. And, of course, if I happen to use the same material for collaborations and my personal maps, it's all for the better. |

Im gonna try and finish the CS functions, make a fun trackable map where you have to try and get your cursor around a maze without touching the sides, or you lose! Starting a new project and in a new team, its all going well. And just the relaxing ofc, whats summer without it. |

Yeah, I just noticed Whitehorn mentioned something about small mapping challenges. To be quite honest, that'd be fun. Maybe we could start up a competition about coding old video games like Donkey Kong or Tetris in WC3. That'd be nifty, but just an idea. :P |

That would be a cool idea, challenging and fun |

Summer is actually where I can work on my other stuff eith school out of my way. I can seriously start working on my map and organizing a team. I also plan on practising my other skills. Getting a sketch book and perhaps some art materials and get retouched with my drawing skills. I use to really like drawing, but then I started drifting away from it. I have allways planned on learning to draw some good anime but never got around to it. I also plan on learning JASS, gmax (which I allready started) and perhaps refine my HTML and other web scripting skills. |

I finished school today. I'm plaining to finish my AoS (Demo atleast), going to work on Wc3: WoW, enter a few spell contests, make stupid off topic threads,.. I'm also going to create a maping clan, with my friends for beta testing and map making. While i'm not modding wc3 i'm going to play Silkroad Online, possibly with my friends. *hopes to learn JASS* ![]() |
