The fonts don't match, the blood drip effect is STUPID, the picters are like cut-off and then glued to a piece of paper, and they don't look good on that background (I dislike it also, too plain or something... just don't like it), and what's that stone coloumn doing there?! Cuts the banner in two? WTF?! And dude, are you COLORBLIND goddamit?!?! Look at some professional website templates if yur too lazy to read books about colors 'n stuff before even starting, learn from them, about which colors fit together, what looks good and advance your skills. By just doing some pieces of crap you won't get anywhere. I hope I pointed all of your mistakes.

Edit: The flare also looks stupid, and the sun (or moon, or whatever) looks like a disco ball. Oh, I take my words back about the second knight in the right corner, he blends good, but those clouds are kinda strange...

Edit edit: I see you do better with the pen and paper than the Corel. And why the hell are you even using Corel for raster images?! lol Ever heard of the wonders of Photoshop?

Edit edit edit: I saw your signature. Am, I don't really think there are much people in Blizzard working with vector illustration, all of the concept art is done on photoshop and with p'n'p... Well I just don't get it.

Edit edit edit edit: lol I edited this like 100 times.

n times Edit: LOL 20 HOURS! GOOD LORD! You took a 1 hour break every 61 minutes or what?! haha

Tim.
If that took you 20 hours, I suggest you go drink yourself to sleep.

I think anybody else here on this site could make this in under 5 minutes. I know I could.

But 10 times better quality.

PLease stick to your traditional art, that stuff is pretty cool : )

If I had to use a combination of graphics and animation, I would use Flash and Photoshop. They are good and easy programs (I have almost no idea if Corel's good).

Since this is supposedly for a website, you should have a banner going with the color scheme of the rest of the site. And from what I see (basic blue), it won't be pretty. There are better ways to clash red and blue for some contrast effects. I wonder if this a site ad banner or a title banner (looks more ad to me for some reason). Choose the featured concept art in that banner better. Keep a color scheme going to make it more eye appealing. And why make only one third of the banner animated? It detracts attention and is uninteresting. Also learn how to make a fade transition because its currently too choppy.

I think your banner still needs a lot of work. And yea, site banners like these don't really fit with what our forum section subject.

So which fonts match?

Where in the world did that come from?

The fonts used are a mix of modern and classic calligraphy. The way he used them just didn't work although its probably possible to make such a mix work. Choice of matching fonts is sort of logical or should be. Plus, the grid thing and scroll are elements that don't match together (modern/old).

Gah, I shouldn't be spending this ammount of time on this.

Destrhythmic consider yourself warned. Picking out bad stuff in ones arework can be good and constructive, but i will not tolerate this kind of destructive commenting.

I dont think i have much to add to this conversation, pretty much everything has been said.

I would move this becouse it has nothing to do with concept art, becouse none of the artworks in the banner, if i'm not mistaken, are yours. However, i wouldnt know a forum on these boards that IS appropriate for this, so i'll leave it.

If working for blizzard is indeed your dream, i suggest you take up photoshop, as it is blizzards weapon of choice.

@Shadow Strike: Candy_Warlock said about the font thing and about the used colors.

@Afronight_75: I sound annoyed, not annoying, IMO however. I just don't like people who are too lazy to look at some good stuff before doing something, and people who can't judge their own work. I understand that one can't be completely objective about that, but at least you can compare it to something that other people like. And if Leopard did this and he still posted his "work", that means that he has no taste and... whatever, you get my point

I deserved the red rep. And it was 'cuz I say what I think. If something sucks then "IT SUCKS", it doesn't "need more work" or something like that.

Im not sure if anybody cares about that, but I said what I felt like saying. And I hope at least Leopard understands what I mean. Peace :)

It is ok to give such opinions, but you really went overboard in a really offence manner, we we cant allow such things on our boards.

Somehow I think you could have made note on everything you said without saying it quite like you did.

That for example is not speaking your mind, that is blatantly being belligerent and directly attacking him. If that isn't what you intended, maybe you should read the forum guidelines and

Anyways, is the knight in the banner one of the GWs pictures?
I can't quite place it, but I think it is.
