I've always wondered how they make those slow auras like omniknight's degen aura and stuff like that. But i think that they are made by taking a spell like endurance aura, and putting negative values; but whenever I try to do that, it puts it to 0. If that's the way it's done, will someone pleases teach me how to insert negative values, because it doesn't work by simply writing -2.00 or something. And if i'm wrong, please explain how the make slow auras, and those - armor auras. Oh, and I don't know if this is the right board, but I couldn't find a better place to post this, sorry if it is the wrong board. |

Hold shift and then click a field in Object Editor... as for auras: Omniknight's Degen Aura can be made with Endurance Aura with -bonus, targets set to enemy -Armor auras can be based off Devotion Aura, targets to enemy, -bonus armo(u)r |

Wow, thanks, I never knew you could do that! |

Alternatively, go to preferences and set 'allow negative values'. Then you no longer have to hold down 'shift'. Though holding down shift to force values can be good in other circumstances, so long as you are careful. |

There is no 'better' or 'worse' way to set a value to a negative. If it works, then it works. If it doesn't, then you'll have to use shift. Once you get the hang of which ones you need shift and which ones you don't, it goes faster not using shift all the time, at least for me. |

You have to be careful about some negative values, you can create some pretty wierd effects and even crash the game if you give the wrong field a negative value. Try giving Hardened Skin a negative value, that one always gives me a few laughs. |

all movement and attack speed auras in DotA use Tornado Slow for the actual effects because its the only aura that stacks. |

You serious? |

Hmm. I dont believe it! hes right, it stacks. This is a big discovery, and can be used for a movement system to set movespeed to anything cleanly and effectivly! |

All auras with different buffs stack with themselves... thats the whole concept of my AuraBuff function -.- http://www.wc3jass.com/viewtopic.php?t=2649 |

You cant get a different buff with the same ability without using spellbooks though, can you? (Or add n remove them via triggers, but thats a pain) |

Just a thought, would be nice if your functions supported multi-level buffs; so a mapmaker could just make a single multi-level spellbook, instead of making multiple of them and manualy removing others when any one is added. Hmm, and a function for getting the remaining duration of a buff. |
