This is just a thought Im throwing out here but has anyone ever played the Myst Series? If you have then you'd know it'd be a great challenge to craft Myst in Warcraft III. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in trying it.

This would include:
Myst Expert (me and possibly others)
Terrainer (I can do some terrain)
Triggerer (me and possibly others)
Modeler
Skinner
and some others...

Feel free to research about the Myst Series if you don't know anything about it.

Anyways, just let me know if you're interested. :)

why dont you tell us a little about the series? I highly doubt anyone in this forum is proactive enough to go research about it.

First game of Myst:

You're stuck on an island. There are two books sitting there with people asking you to go and get the pages ripped out of the books so that they can escape.

Of course, there are lots of puzzles you have to do to get these pages. And there are lots of pages, and no people. Several islands you have to travel between. Very spooky.

Oh, and then there is the twist. Which is quite possibly the most annoying twist in any game I've ever played, for the sheer brutatilty of the futility of your actions.

The second one wasn't as good, but I was quite a bit older then and never finished it.

I might be interested in doing some triggers for it.

Alright then.

I'll explain (without spoilers) each aspect of the game(s).

Myst (Basic Story): You (referred to as "The Stranger") find a book entitled, "Myst". When you open the book you find strange foreign writing (later revealed as D'ni), then on the next page you find a picture, but the picture appears to be moving. It displays an island covered with a few buildings, a small forest, s mountain, a dock (with a sunken ship), and a pair of gears...along with some other features. You suddenly place your hand on the picture and you feel the picture envelope you. Suddenly you realize that you are standing on the very dock you saw in the picture.

After exploring a bit you find a note addressed to a "Catherine" from an "Atrus". It tells of an important message in the Imager (a device near the dock). During the message in the imager you learn that one of their sons (Sirrus and Achenar) burned their library, but they're not sure which one. Your goal in the game is to try to establish the correct son's innocence through puzzles, books, letters, whatever you find.

Riven (Basic Story): Catherine is imprisoned on the Age of Riven by Atrus's father Gehn. You must free Catherine and trap Gehn inside of a prison book (another linking book, just with no way out).

Exile (Basic Story): You are called upon again to save/help Catherine and Atrus's family. Their new daughter has just been born (Yeesha). Atrus's new age's (Releeshahn) description book has been taken captive by Saavedro (a man seeking revenge since his Age was destroyed by one of Atrus's sons). You must set Saavedro at peace and return Releeshahn to Atrus and their family.

Revelation (Basic Story): Atrus and his family have recently added "visiting rooms" to their sons prison Ages since Catherine wanted to be able to visit them. These visiting rooms contained a linking book back to Tomahna (Atrus's home). Suddenly when Sirrus escapes from his prison Age and frees his brother Achenar they take Yeesha captive while both Catherine and Atrus are away. You must save Atrus's family once again.

End of Ages (Basic Story): I haven't played it...

Uru (Basic Story): Set two hundred years after the rest of the series (besides End of Ages). Explorers from Earth find a way into the lost city of D'ni (the civilization that can write books that become Ages) as Yeesha leads them on their journey. The entrance lies somewhere in Arizona, right underneath a mountain. As you discover more about the lost city and the D'ni, there becomes more hope for you to revive the civilization.

Basic Concepts: Atrus and his family are of D'ni descent. The D'ni live for much longer periods of time than humans. The D'ni have the ability to write Ages by simply describing them in books. Travel between Ages is accomplished by linking books (a book with references to the main book of the Age).

I'd recommend watching some trailers on sites such as YouTube.com or Altavista.com. Maybe DogPile.com.
