MMORPG Basilisk

the lizard is a basilik, well, maybe not in the game but thats what i think,even though he hasnt got 6 legs or features of a basilisk, i wanted to give that beast a new flavour, new paralyzing posion, by the sting..


i did have wips of the lizard but i saved them in the opposite value of compression i wanted...

oh, you may have seen the drakkar b4 but this is in top jpeg compression, so it shouldnt be as blurry.

They look awesome, but that's no basilisk
Basilisks are snakes with feathers/half snake half chicken, or big lizards with too many legs.

Naah Basilisk just needs to be a bird/lizard/bird-lizard combination that can paralyze/kill you by looking at you.

Edit: I'm a idiot, forgot to comment...The basilisk looks reeeeally awsome, cant really say anything bad about it. The Dragon dude also looks cool but the right hand looks abit...off, not sure what it is but it looks wrong.

The wyvern from warcraft looks like anything but a wyvern (looks actualy more like a manticore), so in conclusion everyone has the right to change things as they like. AAAAAniway, these drawings look awsome. 'Can't believe how nice you're improving, werewulf. Keep it up, you're way better than I was at your age.

and a cockatrice is the lizard/chicken, a basilisk is a 6 legged lizard with a paralyzning bite or stare.

i know my monsters.
i just wanted to give this baslilisk a new flavour, so the art and game(if in it) would make it unique, like warcrafts tauren(minotaur).

the 6 legged lizard is the Heroes of Might and Magic version of the basilisk. The original basilisk is a gargantuan snake.

That kills you if you look at its eyes.

The Greeks also had another one which was a chicken\lizard combo. The lizard-that-turns-you-to-stone didn't show up until the Romans.

No, a Basilisk is either a many legged lizard like you said, OR a lizard-chicken.
I think the lizard-chicken basilisk was the original one, a Basilisk is born when a chicken egg is hatched by a toad, the Basilisk had a deadly gaze, if you looked it in the eye, you'd be dead, it also had a deadly venom, and in mythology the apearances varied from scaled chickens with snak tails to feathered serpents.

Says that Cockatrice is :

And Taurens were Bison men a Minotaur was Bull-headed :P. But thats just pickly lol.

I'm not agree tauren are not bison men,because tauren are a pun with Taureau in french or other language which use the same root.Taureau=Bull
and they don't look like bison at all.Minotaur mean it's the son of Minos and a Bull which make Taur in grec root.Taur -> Tauren like panda -> pandaren
