When I host custom game on Warcraft III: TFT, my computer sometimes freezes when I click the 'Cancel' button to exit the Hosting Screen and go bacdk to chat, and my computer totally freezes while the chains on the background come up, but they dont come back down. I usually have to hit 'CNTL + ALT + DEL' and close Warcraft III: TFT when that happens, or sometimes the computer totally freezes and I need to restart Windows by pushing down on the computer's power button adn holding it down. Also, sometimes the Loading Screen does not pass when I am hosting games, even though everyone has finished loading through the loading screen, but the game will not go through. I have to hit 'CNTL + ALT + DEL' and close Warcraft III: TFT and load the game back up, and when I close my Warcraft III: TFT, everyone in the game goes past the loading screen and goes to the Score Screen. These problems do not happen all the time, but it sure is annoying. I have my FireWall Disabled and my AntiVirus Protection Disabled, and my DMZ Host is configured with my Router for Hosting Games, and I refresh my Internet Settings. I do not know what the problem is. I sure would like to fix this issue. |

Reinstall? |

If reinstalling doesn't help, it sounds like an issue you should mention to Blizzard support and not here. |

Why, oh why, would you install in safe mode...? And why, oh why, did you re-format to sort it out...? And why, oh why, did you post in General Development...? |

And why, oh why, would i post a completly pointless post. I would say thats your computers problem, if it dident happen before, and it does now, its your computer. If its happened all along it has a chance to be your comp, but something is conflicting with blizz software. EDIT: Griff is right though, installing in safe mode is asking for trouble |

Since when did we become Blizzard staff? If you are having a problem and rinstalling does not solve it, then the issue is with your computer. Period. Contact Blizzard for gurther help, not us. Moved to the Off Topic, read forum descriptions before posting. |

Some characteristics are disabled, others are read-only, etc. If the program being installed needs write access to them, it won't be able to. Safe mode is good for removal of viruses, and 'debug'. |

Just out of curiousity, did you make sure you had the latest drivers installed for your hardware (video, sounds, and network)? Seems likely from your description that the cause of the problem is from outdated or corrupt drivers. |

I solved the problem out with Blizzard by emailing them. Problem solved. |
