AWSOME ANIMATION COMPETITION

TDR
I just came across this add about this competition. It's simply amazing, the big prize consisting of 25.000$ and the prizes for the best of each category is 5000$. Of course us we can only imagine how nice it will be if we could win, but aniway it's a fun thing, considering the fact that there is a...tadadadam...CRAPPY category :D. Finaly a competition where us amateurs can do something for without feeling emarrased :). I guess that the animation can be either 3D or in flash or other ways.

MUSIC VIDEOS - self explanatory, right? But must include some form of animation.
EXPERIMENTAL - for experimental movies with new techniques and innovative story-telling.
CRAPPY – for the more amateur, rough or newbie animations (only you can decide if your work belongs here, but remember this category wins a prize too !)

You can submit your entry 'till 15th August. Is there anyone in? I'll defenetly be, allthough I'll only animate a bounch of freaky spheres with hands and legs, 'cause I suck at rigging even more than I suck at animating :P.

Most important – and simply put – the ground rules for the kind of movies you can enter into the competition are:
• Any movies containing animation or CG special effects
• Created by anyone at any level at any given time or place
• Run-time of up to 15 minutes (for longer movies please send a request to
[email protected] )
• Proviso: that the content is not pornographic or too offensive
• You hold the rights to all materials used in the movie

You can stick 3ds anims in flash anyway...

Tim.
I hardly think that would be considered acceptable, and not just because you don't "own the rights."

Chriz., might be interested in this, I'll have to call him.

I would be so in, but I'm going to be away until the 5th of August, that would leave me 10 days to do it. I think not. Maybe next time T_T

Bah, if only my Gramps's computer had 3DsMax on it I would. But sadly my brother is reformating my laptop tonight, and then taking it away T_T So I have no hope unfortunately. Unless I install 3DsMax without my Grandpa knowing...hmm......
