Based on the Halo FPS game by Bungie Studios. in this game, you take control over a spartan, a futurist soldier. you must then manage to find a way to reach the enemy base to capture their flag without being killed. You are able to buy up to 8 different weapon types, and 1 kind of grenade. You are protected by an energy shield wich will stop bullets and plasma from hitting you; This shield can hold up to 100 Pts of damage before breaking. The shield will self-regenerate if you dont get it for 7 seconds in a row. kinda hard! You will need some skill in this game, because you dont just target the enemy and then click for a guaranted hit. You really have to aim. Once you killed your enemy, you will earn gold, and he will respawn in his base a few seconds later. you can have up to 2 weapons at a time, and swap between them using the Q hotkey or simply by clicking a wep in your inventory to equip it. You can move while shooting; However, the reloading is stationary. The Terrain offer a lot of tactical opportunities. Not only does it have alot of hills where the enemy cant see you, but it also have 2 bridges, wich can be destroyed by a grenade or a rocket. The bridges respawn 15 seconds afther. The trees wont block your bullets. however you cant see trough them. Big rocks WILL block enemy (or your) shots, but you must remember your enemy can see you behind them. Even if most weps are balanced, Somes cost most than others due to their overall power and ease of use.. Varrying from an Assault Riffle for 50 gold, to a Rocket Launcher for 185 gold. You earn gold by scoring flags (250 gold) or Killing Enemies (50 gold) Please note the bullets wont make the difference between you, your friends and your enemies =) Ive been testing this map on B.net and ive got alot of positive comments This is the new (and much much better..) Version of Halo Blood Gulch v3.6c that Tim and Gadden reviewed about 1 month ago. im waiting for their new review with impatience to know what else to improve. Features: -Real Aiming, can be done while moving -Energy shield, wich recharge and deplete with animations -Ability to buy and use 8 unique weapons with special features such as Charge-Up, Change-Mode, Headshot or Zoom. -Advanced weapon system with Reload, ammo ammount, Wep change, etc -Capture the flag system -Imported sounds from Halo -Weapon models -customisable game time -Special Sounds for Killing such as Double Kill, Killing-Spree,etc -Character permanently selected. -Dynamic terrain with trees, hills and destroyable Bridges. -more my Map file is 2.66 KB so i cant Upload it here. Not that my opinion matters but here are a few things I had an issue with: -Shooting, its slow and cumbersome, pretty annoying -Custom material, you use some custom stuff, but you lack decent icons in places where stock Wc3 icons just don't fit -Gold, I don't know where gold comes into a futuristic battlefield, maybe change that up to something more appropriate -Some stuff, like a Powered charge for the Plasma Pistol, doesn't require the guy to be facing the angle he fires it off at -Terrain, it was sort of...meh, maybe get some neat tileset or something for it Thats all I can think of atm, gonna play again soon to see what I think the next time. |

I own Halo, Halo 2 and the special info DVD about said game, as well as Halo for the PC. So yes, I have played Halo, and I love the idea of a tribute sort of map to it. Now, I have no intention of soothing any hurt feelings, because I was not intending to be harsh, those were just a few things that stood out to me when I first fired the game up. What I meant about firing being slow was not the rate so much as that you need to hit 'F' then click to fire, which is not the speediest method of firing. Gold - I just meant that gold sort of doesn't fit the theme, maybe Reward Points or something, not removing it, just changing it to something that makes a little more sense. Angles - Well my point is more like you can fire off at a 90 degree angle with no need to actually turn, which makes shooting faster, but can really look odd(maybe just limit how much of an angle you can fire off from compared to your facing) |

i dont think there is any other method to make firing faster. else how would warcraft know if you want to fire or throw a grenade? and where? about angle, i'm not sure what i can do. the spell i use is based on Revelation. a spell wich trigger instantly when you order it, and wich doesn't stop your character from executing its current order. like Moving. maybe i could add a trigger like if angle from target point to character is higer than 90 degree compared to the characters facing, it could order the character to face the point and play Attack animation.. There's no problem for money, that's easily fixable. but what's wrong about terrain? i couldn't find anything. NOTE: you havn't hurt my feelings at all. just asking where the problems are. |

Thanks for the review! however there are some points i disagree/want to explain Quote:
if i remove fog of war, its gonna be horrible because you will not be able to hide at all, in halo you most certainly can! as for the marine model, there are no others models available that does the job fine. i dont know how to make a dynamic leaderboard. im using a trigger that count the lines based on the player number. if we are 2 in the game, say me red, and you green, the leaderboard will work fine for me because im Player 1, so itll add my kills in the row 1. as you, you are the player 7, it will add your kills in the row 7. if we are only 2 in the game, you'll be in row 2. kills will go in row 7 instead of going in row 2. how do i compresse sounds? >.< as for the weapon change, i might be able to add a trigger where you can use a hotkey to swap between your weps. for weapon firing, i tought about making a trigger wich when you hit F key(or when you left-click without having the + Visor), it autmaticaly trigger the shooting and fire at the place your cursor was at. however, i dont know how to do this. there is no functions allowing u to "Set TempPoint: Current position of (Player) Cursor" i agree on most of your other points |
