Switching between attack types? (attack1/2)

Ok I got some help on how to set it up.

Basically I wanted a unit with 2 modes of firing
- Normal 600 range
- Sniper 1200 range

i setup attack 1/2 as the above
I set attacks used to NONE

Made 2 orb abilities
Orb1 - activates attack 1
Orb2 - activates attack 2

Gave unit ability Orb1, its works fine except no attack information is displayed in the bar, at bottom of screen.

i.e. attack damage/speed/type etc.

How can I fix this or is their an alternative method?

Doesnt that require a casting time delay?

Plus I wanted to have several attack types.
- Concussive shots
- Explosive Shots
- Sniper shots
that the hero can switch between

Sniper shots is the only one that effects range.

Metomorphosis is instant (you can make it instant) but its a pain.
So is Chaos (which would also work).

Isent there some option to enable attack UI on the ability?

I think we used metamorph for our mod-switching hero in FL.

Root/Unroot would work perfectly except not sure how to setit up in conjunction with other modes.

Sniper Shots
Immobilizes, lowers attack speed by 50% and increases attack range by 600.

Spray Shots
Gives each shot a 300 area effect splash damage, lowers damage by 25%.

Concussive Shots
Gives each shot a 25% chance to stun the target for 1 second and push/slide the target backwards. Also lowers damage by 50%.

If I set Sniper Mode, as a Dummy Root Ability, it would get screwed up if I tried to change into other modes.

Perhaps making 3 dummy unroot abilities per mode to work?

A tip, not much, for the ones that dont use range just use a normal ability, like bash for concussive shot.

Multiple Unroots, the orderstrings clash :-(.

Is there no way with - Orb Abilities - to activate attack UI??

You could also use the replace unit -way to accomplish this.

So you can have,

Attack 1 vs ground

Attack 2 vs air

E.g. Chimera

Attack 1 vs Organic

Attack 2 vs Mechanical

E.g. Some form of Siege unit


EDIT: lol, just realised Chimera cant attack air :-)

Its not a bad idea, using a unti with alot of attacks could be cool.
To be honest, i would give them an ability in a spellbook and hide it.
For things that have require a longer range, trigger them.
