Know your enemy - Turtle

SUBJECT: TURTLE

>>>SLOW MOVEMENT SPEED<<<
barring a cloaked frog, the turtle is the slowest fish. This means running from the naga is no go. stay close to bases and make a run for it when they are busy attacking your corals.

>>>INCREASED ARMOR<<<
the increase in a turtles armor means he takes quite a few hits to kill. this means that the fish hook is much less deadly to the turtle than other fish. If you're near the entrance to your base simply run back in. If they hooked you out the back make use of turtle jump to escape. The armor is also great during early game when the naga have little to no kills and thus dont have their damage spells leveled up. You can mass corals and then when the naga starts breaking through start to build around them, if they manage to get a hit off on you, its fine because you have armor, just make sure you're behind your corals when you get netted.

*note* trapping the naga is very risky and has gotten me killed several times from a well timed net, it's best to do it when they are far from the area you're building the corals at. and usually helps if you use invisable towers.

once you get attack towers going with the turtle, he is very hard to kill.

>>>TURTLE JUMP<<<
you have to love this ability. the naga are tearing down your base and getting close and you just teleport out. keep in mind that your location is pinged when you teleport. however you also get a boost in movement speed, so book it out of there as soon as possible.

*teleportation staff* I've allready noted the usualfulness of this item in the general strategy, but I thought i should reemphasize it for the turtle. combined with turtle jump you will be near uncatchable. just make up 2 or more bases and teleport between them when the naga come for you. make sure to use the teleport staff before they get close as a net will stop you from porting and likely result in your death

(((((((((((((((HOW TO KILL A TURTLE)))))))))))))))))))

IMPROVED ARMOR: don't let the slow movement speed fool you, if you don't net down the turtle his armor will cause you spend quite a while chasing him down. and in the mean time he'll probably be casting turtle jump and getting away from you. catching a turtle works almost completely opposite of catching a water elemental.

First off, you WANT them to be outside of their base.

Secondly, you'll want to group up against the turtle, after you net him have someone else port to you and hopefully both of your attacks will kill him before he can port.

Lastly, buy a cloak of flames and a claw of attack and killing turtles should be a breeze.

TURTLE JUMP: ok but what if the turtle does manage to jump? well you should have one naga somewhere near the middle (not close enough to be camping) while you are chasing the turtle. this way he is equidistant to any spot the turtle might jump to. so when you see that ping, he runs immediately after it. (have someone reveal the spot to track the turtles path)

TELEPORTATION STAFF: these are brutal mainly because its a teleport without the ping. If you are close enough, through a net on the turtle it will stop him from teleporting. Also if you know where his other bases are have a naga at each one tearing them down. If he doesn't have any other bases, try one of his fellow fishes.

*turtles might be a pain sometimes but with a quick sucession of fishhook follow by net and attacking with a cloak of flames and claw of attack equipped, the turtle will be dead in no time*

Very nice guide. Look forward to the complete series if you get the time to write them. Then off to the website they go.
