Hey there, new to the boards, but have helped make a few maps in my time(starcraft, warcraft 3, neverwinter nights, and im ashamed to say, tony hawk, time splitters and even tenchu2!) and have recently started my largest project ever: a remaking of the entire warcraft 2 orc campaign. id like to do the humans, and both campaigns for the expansion, but best not to overwhelm yourself, no? Tides of Destruction Orc Campaign 1 Summary: Basically, it is a remake of the first (non-tutorial) level of warcraft 2, for the orcs. i intend to make all 4 campaigns, with time, but for now ive only 1 map completed. Features: A remapped, remade, war3 version of the original game. Team: Myself, Haddon- everything, at the moment. I have had lots of help with suggestions, tutorial, files and testing Progress: 100% of the first level(or nearly, only some more testing remains) anyway, i have just today finished my first map(with the help of a few of this sites members), which i have tested time and again, and would like some feedback. i dont have the map hosted anywhere yet, so if there is any way i could put it on here, and get people willing to test it, id be most appreciative. i can only hope i can get it out there, you all enjoy it, and i keep rockin it. Edit: i have fixed a few things, and hopefully it is in better shape now. still a few minor aesthetic issues, which i pointed our futher down, but yeah. the map is extremely easy and simple, but that was how the original war2 level was. i added in a lot more to spice it up. hopefully its to peoples liking. |

This post would of been more appropriate in the Beta Testing forum. Anyway, you can use the built-in attachment system on these forums to upload your map so people can download it. I wish you luck in the project |

ahh, haha, didnt even see that, was using quick replies. ive had someone else test it, and had a few problems, but only slight things, most of which ive fixed. all i see now is the mini-map is always revealed, which i dont know how to get rid of, and that for whatever reason, blues name is "computer normal", despite having named the team and the force. |

haha, no no, helped with maps for starcraft and warcraft. designed the maps themselves, usually unit customization, abilities, items, basic idea and such. ive never been too good with triggers, and my stories are always far too epic, so i try to stay awau from writing the stories. one map i helped make, which never got very popular, was an rpg that was extremely large, and was meant to have a sequel, but the other 2 people and i decided against it. they did all the writing, cinematics, triggers, voicing etc. i only did the map itself, which was really easy. Vampire something or other, Tale, i believe. back in warcraft 3, before TFT. i helped make a map that had another map made because of it, that was a little popular, called midieval tactics. our original map sucked, but it was a good idea. i also helped make custom characters, mobs, bosses and things for neverwinter nights mod called Vampire Nights, a very rpg-esque game, which was pretty fun, but never got large enough to become popular. im far from good. but im not horrid, either. |
