Map Size question.

Before I get into phase 3 of my RPG map. I was wondering if anyone has tried chaging the size of the map bigger than what its allowed in the editor. I know you can use the Map Size Hack but has anyone actually created a map thats bigger than what you are allowed and not have it crash or give you problems like slowdows. I want my map to be the biggest possible size without having any problems.

I too was wondering about this because when I try to make the map bigger with the W3M map util it defaults back to the size I had it before whgich is already the max.. So it's not making it any bigger like I want it too..

UMSWE aloows sizes up to 480....get the v3.5 in www.umsmaps.com if it isn't enough..dunno

Sweet thx, yah It wasn't letting me get above the standard Wc3 Map size settings.

That doesn't let you go above the WE limit. I need something that will let me change a current map size and make it bigger. Any ideas would be cool

in da umswe, open ur map, change the MAP (just check it) bounds 2 480x480 or whatever u want.

- Set minumum map size to 32
- Set maximum map size to 480
(Note total size restrictions still apply)

That's quoted from the readme.. And have you tried it? Cause I did and it didn't work... I want a map bigger than the normal WE limit which is 36,000 cells. I want 40000 cells.. which isn't too many more..

Yeah... A cityscape 220x220 map, could you make it, then send the file, so i can open it with my norm editor?


"Unable to locate worldedit.exe to patch" .. that's what it says when i try to open UMSWE3.5

It's easy to make a plain map all you do is run the W3M Utils and edit the Map size in that and when you make a new map it'll have that map size.. But here's the 224x224 map all you gotta do is change the tileset and everything.

here's ur 480x480 map. WARNING: it has a totally insane load time, but it works =). i used zepir's editor 2 make it. try it if u want

like I said I want to resize an already made map not make a new one larger than standard.. I already know how to make a new one that is bigger than the limit. I just didn't do it before I made this first map..
