How can you make - Item Stat abilities able to level beyond level1?

Basically im trying to setup a SpellBook hero ability.

- If I make a spellbook hero ability, after the first level it dissapears from the hero skills menu.
- I cant levelup spellbooks, all contents of the spellbook then dissapear.

So my plan was.
- Have a dummy hero ability you can learn.
- Already give the Hero a unit ability spellbook but disable it.

Whenever he learns the dummy hero ability>
- If first level it enables the spellbook
- After first level it levels up the contents of the spellbook

The Item + Stat abilities were perfect dummy abilities as they have a Stay Hidden tick box.
However you can learn 1 level in them and they stop working.


Im stuck now
Any recommendations?

Most stat abilities won't work beyond level 1, use bonusMod.

Im not trying to add stats.

I just need a hero ability that I can hide?

What do you mean stop working after level 1? The stats stop increasing yes, thats why you add those stats with bonusMod instead of using the ability.

It doesnt seem to detect when a hero learns the skill after lvl1.

Trigger:
Mystic Learn
Collapse Events
Unit - A unit Learns a skill
Collapse Conditions
(Learned Hero Skill) Equal to Item Hero Stat Bonus (+1 Strength)
Collapse Actions
Collapse If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
Collapse If - Conditions
(Level of [Seer] Illusion Spells for (Learning Hero)) Less than 2
Collapse Then - Actions
Player - Enable [Seer] Illusion Spells for (Owner of (Learning Hero))
Collapse Else - Actions
Unit - Increase level of [Seer] Illusion - Domino for (Learning Hero)
Unit - Increase level of [Seer] Illusion - Sway Of Illusion for (Learning Hero)
Unit - Increase level of [Seer] Illusion - Veiled Sentry for (Learning Hero)

Unless im doing something wrong? This should work?
