Did you see those prizes!? They are so friggin cool. Did you read the fucking rules? "THIS CONTEST IS OPEN ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, CANADA (EXCLUDING THE PROVINCE OF QUEBEC)..."
That's hilarious cause I happen to live in Quebec! WOW! I think I'll hurt myself now.

This contest touches all the fields, from 3d modelling (low and hi poly) to concept art. Animation won't be part of this contest but is promised to be included in the next. Good luck to all those participating! Make Wc3c proud!

I mean CGSociety, wich is a company way smaller than Blizzard, organizes super-challenges with tremendous prizes and allows anyone to compete, regardless of their location, and these shit Blizzard retards, who have bilions of dollars, only restrict prizes to certain locations. Now this is just plain stupid!

Don't blame it on your country, blame it on Blizzard's discrimination.

Dionesiist, I think you don't appreciate the true cultural and historical value of our country and Europe. At least we have history! Let them rot in their value-less country (I'm refering to the USA; I hope I didn't ofeend anyone with these statements; if I did, I'm not sorry).

Actually I think they didnt include Quebec (only province of Canada that's majorly french-speakin) cuz of the special laws on gambling and stuff there. Its not the first time we're excluded. I guess CGSociety was ready to go through the paperwork and hassle but not Blizzard. Basically because Blizzard's intention is probably to get attention and profit (eventually) from this contest while CGSociety was searching for really good artists so their location shouldn't limit their artistic creativity. Winners are included in a artbook that's then sold accross the world so I guess they couldn't have limited their contests to certain countries since the number of artists entering would decrease and the chance of finding truly awesome artwork would go down aswell. CGSociety is more art-dedicated than Blizzard. This contest is just for attention and fun too.

I might join in this contest with some mouse art in psp.

I live in the US, but this is annoying that US artists are protected from some awesome competition in other countries.

If Blizz doesn't at least do a European version of this contest in the near future then this injustice will have gone so far over the line that we will have forgotten where the line was.

Someone deserves a kick in the pants.
