Self Portrait

I actually don't know if this one really fits to these forums. Well, whatever. After all I just want to have some decent submission to my art gallery here ^^

For this piece I used: low skill+ cheap wacom tablet+ photoshop+ Linda Bergkvist's tuts on digital painting.
Actually I only took a look at the hair painting tutorial when making the portrait. The other stuff I had in mind from earlier tries.

You can keep your critism cuz I mostly know what my mistakes are (what would be colors colors colors which means I gotta practice some more).

And... I used a photo reference. But I altered the ligth source.

I had to cut off my hair for work.

good job playing with photoshop filters

In cold climates, hair (and nails) grow slowly and in warm climates they grow faster :P

the hair looks too draped atop of the head, theres nothing that pulls the two together. Meaning that it should have some more shading and reflection. (meaning color reflection from the hair onto the skin)
