Different Cursor for AoE spells

Can anyone tell me if its possible to make the AoE Spell cursor into something different? (I'm thinking custom images for different spells)

I assumed it would be somewhere in the interface options but couldnt see anything obvious

Are you talking about hte cursor or the ring where the aoe will be?

That ring is a skin which can be located in the UI subfolder within the mpq, there is 1 skin for each race, and the skin that is used is determined by your base race, like the UI and the cursors.

So to answer your question, yes, you can change the cursor, no you cant give different spells different cursors.
