A few questions...

1.) For a model that doesn't have a portrait how to you fix the buggy screen? Like just to display black, or just display a picture of the unit or something? rather then it flashing numerous colors contributing to an epeleptic attack.

2.) For "weapon sound" can I use more then the few options given, for example I have a magical being that does melee attacks, therefore I am looking for a more "magical energy" sound when they attack, but all I can select from is like "metal, axe, wood and rock chopping sounds" None of which fit this unit.

3.) Does any value in the unit editor determine what part of the unit the projectile is launced from?

1.) Editing the model, i don't know another way
2.) Well, you can import a Sound, set it as 3-D Sound and play it every time a magic unit attacks, else i don't know any other way
3.) Yeah, in the Object Editor you can set the Point with Art - Projectil Launch X, Y and Z, to find the right point you have to do "try n' error"

2) You might be able to import a sound to overwrite one of the default ones and then give your magic-attack-unit this attack sound.
3) Above poster is correct, just bear in mind that these are offsets from the unit's origin.

1) Model editing, quite simply, actually, just need a text editor and a mdx<=>mdl converter (one in tools section), and then add a camera (see the relevent forum).
2) Try forcing a relevent sound using shift click. Might work.

How come after making some adjustments to my projectile x, y, z the initial missile attack is always quite a bit off of the unit, then the rest of the missiles come directly from the unit as it should... This happens everytime I move and attack a new target, the first missile launches from a completely different location then the rest that follow.

Also, that force relevenat sound unfortunatly did not work, I tried Ethereal Medium Hit and it did nothing.
