Guest | I put in the melee - hero limit triger in my map, but it does not work, i can buy mulitple heros, is it becase i am using shops to acquire them, rather than build them or is there some other reason why this does not work ? |

Yes, I think if you use a shop to buy them then it will ignore that trigger. Use something clever like if its a AoS type, make the food of that hero 90. |

custom heroes dont work for this. if u have your own heroes, it doesnt work. u have to edit the 12 existing ones. the 3 hero limit it doesnt seem to check for hero type, it does the 12 existing ones. |

Guest | Use a food limit... |

Could you make it so the shops don't restock? Or make a trigger that removes the bought hero and gives the money back if you already have one. |

Guest | i cant use a food limit because i my rpg allows you to also buy regular troops, part of the fun is supposed to be the need for decision making between such choices, should you get a hero, or a bunch of support troops, or maybe a hero and a few troops or a hero and some items ect.. ill try the triger method though it seems like a crude work around. |

Well this might not work using a shop but: [damn i cant remember the custom text], or you can dl GoldenUrg's trigger patch and use SetTechLevel for unit. This may not work using shops though.... |

The Hero Limits is in one of the Blizzard script files isn't it? Surely you could find that, edit it to add the additional unit codes for the heros you've added, and inject that into the map. |

Guest | I must say unlike many ppl on these boards i do not have the experience to do something like that, and so i think i might need to use trigers in order to accomplish my goal. |

1 go to www.UMSMAPS.com 2 download UMSWE 3.5 3 unzip the version of your choice 4 read the reaadme 5 open your map in UMSWE 3.5 6 go to the rigger section and in your map initiolaztion trigger and add the action "Limit unit type to one per player" ((its something like that i cant remember exactly)) |

Guest | mythong, will ppl who play the map need to dl something extra in order for that to work or will jsut dl'ing the map on b.net suffice ? |

You just use that trigger Mythomon told,Or dl Golden Urg's Trigger patch ://// .That way you get custom heroes have limit. |

Guest | Ok, I have four custom heros that I'd like to have that you can only make one of each type. I used the: melee game: limit 1 hero per type trigger and it seems to work, the only thing is.. it also seems to set limits where you can only make one hero unless you upgrade to "keep" or "castle" how do I remove THAT limit? |

Guest | Right now, the only thing I can think of is to use the shop method and set a very long stock replenish interval. but here's another problem... I'd like to be able to make the building that makes the heros and a shop must be preexisting.. Is there some way to build a shop? |
