btw: I did a search on wc3s, and couldn't find the lightning bolt model

Hmm... I think that kind of lightnings are possible if you are using a lot of ribbons... They have the effect you need, especially if their lifetime is high enough. However, they won't work exactly like in diablo.

I can try to make a nice lightning model, but it needs some time, i'll attach it when finished to this posting.

making lightning projectile with lightning looks really bad.

i would not mind having theses either, so that is prolly +3 reps from ppl, i wouldnt mind making a lightning based hero

Just base charge bolt with a unit with wander and has tornado damage Arua andhave timed life.

Lightning thing can basically be based off of carrionswarm

how about this... make a ribbon emitter in the middle, then smoothen the edges somehow so that they dont look blocky. Or maybe use a lightning texture which has the two sides of the lightning faded.

I don't know how to make models... if I did, I wouldn't request it - easy...
