An old thing I just found laying in a folder. I made it for one of Whitehorn's projects, a multiplayer game...forgot the game's name, though

Well, the clouds shouldn't be there, and it would take a rediculous amount of time to form a ring there, but it looks cool none the less

ridiculous my ass. Debris flyes supersonicaly from an impact with a hugeass asteroid. This ain't the imediate moment after the impact, though.

It would takes thousands of years to form a ring like that, in any lesser amount of time it would be a debree field around the planet

LOL :p i think there is no cloud in a planet as this one. Atmosphere can be, so no clouds, no seas... and the big hole can't be, planet had to explode or had big fissures and magma everywhere just after impact !

It amazes me how you all come and post against the credibility of a picture on a FANTASY mod site. None of you cared to asky why it is like this...

It's a MORPG with a sci-fi fantasy setting. Advanced technologies and the unknown are more than enough to justify this piece of FICTIONAL art.

Sheesh.

Let's provide some information:
The belt pre-dates the 'incident'. Remember, Sci-fi & fantasy means that things can be different. Yes, Earth has a belt.
The hole is not due to explosion, rather a more implosive incident. A vacuum effect tore the chunk out of the body, so the structure didn't suffer the catalyst effects of a huge explosion (which would tear the whole structure apart).

See? It all makes sense.
