Here are some more details about the map team I wanted to establish. I allready have like 2 members officially, TidalHunter and a frind of mine. Anyone else is free to join.

Map Project Details:

The map I believe we have desided to work on is a map based on team stragety. It has a sorta ww3 theme with different races. Its 5v5 with 1 comp player on each team I believe we have decided. It has a unique artilery system that is balanced. The general idea of the map deep stragety and a lot of cool elements of the map that make it fun, capturing, and balanced gameplay. It requires lots of teamwork. It's like a typcal rts war game. I think it has great potential. It.has no name yet,

Map Making Procedures:

I think the best way to go about making the map is by first discussing the project and putting the map through a concept stage. I have allready done some discussion with tidsal hunter and my frind eryk. Once we're done that, we talk about how we are going to go about making the map. If things go smoothly and we all work together. Depending on the amount of work required maybe we can finish the map in a month or two.

Requirements:

You pretty much only need a general idea of how wc3 and the world editor goes. Eryk is actually completely new to wc3 but provides input, and has good computer skills to begin with. I would however like some good jass, terrainer, and such spelialties in the team. I think that would provide a good asset to the team. I don't really have any particular idea of how much people i need in the team. Maybe 5-10. More or less depending on how many people I get interested or how much people will just provide input. I think we should however arange meetings. Meetings are very important and many things can be discussed which can lead toproblems if your absent. So I think we shoud arrange meetings that work for everyone.

My ideals for this team:

The purpose of this team is to create original maps that are outstanding, fun, and just provide some great maps for the players. I think together we can do that and hlds much more possibilitiess and efficiency then one person if co-ordinated properly. It helps if all members are dedicated to their work and make great maps with passion. I hope you consider joining .

Note: I don't want an army of like 30 people so the amount of particular specialties that are open may close off depending on the need of any specific skill. So i'm aiming for maybe like 5-10, maybe 10-15. We'll see how many people want to join first!

Oh and once the team is established we'll discuss the project then anounce it!

I might be interested in doing some JASS but...

...isn't it normal to either come up with a frame work first, or let all members have input from the start? Becuase you appear to have gotten half way and yet haven't got any solid ideas which you can show us, which is the worst of both worlds.

I'm not too sure what you mean but what I mentioned about the project is about as much as I got figured out. I mean once we establish the team, we can more thoroughly discuss the details of the project. I just recently came up with the idea for the project so I don't really don['t have any solid ideas yet. Right now the map project is still an idea. Theres nothing solid to show yet until we pass the concept stage.

You also haven't said what you can do, what skills you have, or shown any of your work.

I ahve no commleted projects yet, but working on many projects I didn't finish yet. I learned a lot. I'm pretty much a jack of all trades. I terrain pretty well, I can do some fairly advanced GUI triggers, I can make GUI enhanced spells, I can edit and create unit's, spells and am able to design them in a way that they will have stratetic advantages and disadvantages to each other. I still however have not quite enetered the realm of JASS fully but I am in the process of learning it and have a general understanding of it. I can't show any of my work right now cause I don't have it. Later I can post what I guess you cancall the best of my work thus far.

err...lots of spelling errors, sorry.

So, to put it bluntly, why do you think that you are capable of leading a development team?

It's a serious question, by the way, don't mistake not beating around the bush for being rude.

Wel I have lots of experience on the SC mapper It's very differet but I know a lotoabout the map editor for wc3, and I know what it takes to make a good map. I can't sya much more then that, I'll have to prove it when I finish the first project from the team. I know wha I'm doing.
