SFX help

i was wonderring as to a special effect addition to this spell, as you can see it makes 3 rings around the casting point and i was wonder how would i create a pillar of the same sfx where the casting point is say something like this:

X X X_X X X

the 6 x's are the rings and the underline point is the the center (casting point)
the idea is too make a pillar of the sfx at the casting point,
any help will be appreciated

also: the trigger is in GUI so try and keep your suggestion to GUI

I would make a dummy unit with the SFX as the model.
Then create and modify their fly height at the cast of the spell.

I would do it this way since there is no Z configuration for SFX --
But of course you knew that already, otherwise you wouldn't have asked the question. :P

I believe there's also a method of using elevator platforms and creating the effect on top of them, but I prefer the unit attachment method.

if i used dummy units wouldnt they move bcuz of pathing? but ill have to try it what do u guys think he trigger would look like?

Make them flying and get rid of their collision size.

A better way may be to use "Unit - Turn Collision Off".
