It has been some time since the last contest, because of the summer holidays, but now they should be running stable again. The point of this, and all other, spell making sessions, is to give all spell makers a challenge along with a specific theme. Prize: The winner of each session gets 20 reputation points, and an award (awards are small icons that can be seen below your avatar in forum posts and in your profile). Rules: - You can use JASS / GUI / WEU or anything else that you want for your spell. - The spell you enter must be new and made specially for this contest. - Everybody is allowed and encouraged to enter, as long as they follow the rules. - Please post info and WIP screenshots of your spell while you are making it, to get more activity in this thread. - Imported models are only allowed if they are used for very minor things. (A particle emitter or ribbon emitter could be acceptable.) When your spell is finished, just attach the map to this thread. When the session is finished, your spell can be moved to the resources section if it follows the submission rules. Theme: This session’s theme is 'Water'. All spells must be used on water, to conjure some effect. This can be everything from summoning water elementals, creating tsunamis or travelling over water, the spell must just take place in shallow or deep water. Deadline: The session ends 15 days from now, that means on Friday the 18th of August. Good luck everybody! |

are we allowed to use the caster system and/or cscache? do the spells have to be mui (i guess they don't but just to make sure)? |

You can use any system. |

Yes, just give credits. The spell does not have to be multiinstanceable for the spell making session, but if you later want to submit it to the resources, section, then it has to be MUI. |

Do you have to cast the spell while in water/over water or does it just have to be a water based spell? |

You have to cast it on water, yeah. |

Ok, I ain't gonna pretend I know how to do this. So how do you check to see if a unit is in water? |

Don't ask questions about making the spell in this thread, create a new thread for them. |

Sorry about that, I just figured that I might not be the only one who doesn't know that But I figured it out and I've got a cool idea for a spell, so I'm in |

So the spell must precisely be cast over water... It is not enough to have enchancing with water terrain?! Giving an arbitrary example: Make a rain spell which creates water over an area. ~Daelin |

It must be cast over water/in water yes. Just creating some water effect out of nowhere is not allowed. |

does the spell need to have anything to do with water, other then only bein able to be casted over water |

Yes. Take a look at the examples in the first post :). |

As always, count me in. I've got my hands around an idea I think will kick some serious arse. |
