The Ultimate Terraining Map Round 2

*NOW UPDATED AS OF NOVEMBER 22nd 2006*

What IS the Ultimate Terraining Map?
The Ultimate Terraining Map does NOT have any terrain in it other than a blank 32x32 grassy area. You are the one who has to make the terrain. What's the point of that you say? Well the Ultimate Terraining Map has over 432 custom models/textures in it already imported and ready to use!

But that's not all. All destructibles that could be were converted to doodads. ALL Doodads (except a few) have already had their pathing set to None. Rotations are free and can be rotated any of the 360 degrees. All doodads have been placed in the "All" Tileset so you don't have to go searching for that random doodad in some random Tileset.

One should note that the doodads have been somewhat organized to help find them, if you are used to the old world editor you may have a little trouble finding some things at first.

And of course if you have any suggestions for custom models to be added to the map send me a PM or post here, I do try to conserve on map space though so make sure your doodad is; 1. Small in file size, shouldn't need a custom texture and if it does it should be small. 2. Has a universal use, there are alot of custom doodads out there but many of them have very limited use.

There are currently 432 custom importated doodads setup and ready to use! The map size is hovering at 1.23MB.

HOW TO USE THE ULTIMATE TERRAINING MAP
Firstly you'll open up the map.
1.
Go to Scenario at the top of the screen.
-From there go to Map Size and Camera Bounds
-In the window that pops up check off both: Modify Camera Bounds and Modify Map Bounds.
-Use the arrows to increase the size of the map to your choosing. Remember, you can always come back here and change it later if you need more space.
2.
Go to Advanced at the top of the screen.
-From there go to Modify Tileset.
-From the dropdown menu, choose whichever tileset you want to use.

And you should be all set and ready to terrain!

The Files
Below I have attached two maps, the first is The Ultimate Terraining Map, the second is a showcase of all available doodads, so if you want to see all the custom doodads I'd check that out.

Wow that's a lot of doodads, especially trees

Very useful so a well deserved rep, but if we use doodads of this map, how do we know who we have to give credit to ?

There are some credits in the triggers, but yeh I need to work on the credits, they're very incomplete. I'll get around to it, I'm just very lazy. =\

The problem is I download like 50 doodads and then I import them all, and half of them don't have a readme file so in order to find out who made them I have to go back to W3Search and that site is so damn laggy.

Edit: Check first post, some partial crediting done.

Wow, simply Wow;
What did you use for the two (or more i dont know yet) generic glow models. One is like a ring and the other is like a miniature hero glow, which when placed in mass looks kinda cool?

some suggestions:

- get rid of the stone castle walls in the lower left corner and import mine

- add my trees and plants

- add my housekits

Unfortunetly for you, the majority of the models in this pack are very low in file size, unlike yours.

400KB for an azshara pine? Seems a bit much.

Not to say they don't look good, which they do, but the file size is the major concern.

Another update is coming soon, a more complete credits list and a few more new things.
