- - The staff has to approve maps, we will be tough when judging if a map can be stored in our section. We require 2 staff approvals before moving your map to the section. If a staff member does not like your map it won't stop other staff members from approving it, but if your map only gets negative feedback from the staff then it would be moved to the "Misc Submissions section" still available for download but won't appear in the cover page.

Down from 3 approvals, also consider that hosted project leaders are considered part of wc3c staff in this case.

We also have 2 new maps in the official maps section.
(1) Zombie Island: The Curse of the Lost City
(4) Soulchess 1.17 epic

Well, I hope this will make the approval system run faster, but not actually make it easier for maps to get into the database. With only two votes needed, I expect the staff members will be aware of the increased authority they now have and give their verdicts with according responsibility.

I liked it the way with 2 mod approvals and 1 admin approval, made it more secure so even if 2 of the mods had a friends who submitted a map and they approved it would still need an admin approval.

Isn't the idea that moderators are mature enough to be unbiased?

Additionally, generally a map is either obviously in, or obviously out. It is rare for a map to be in the grey area in my experience.

If you got a good map, but with a few trigger bugs (rather critical ones), that would be pretty grey. =P

Fun to have *help* ^^

For about a day, until those trigger bugs were sorted out.

The only real grey map I've seen is Islands in the sky, where it was a sorta good map but with an incredible amount of bugs and display issues.
