Animating in milkshape

I can't animate in milkshape. I tried everything, my anims just don't show up.

Here's my last test. Tell me what's wrong with it:
In order, I:
1.Add a sphere
2.Add a joint in middle
3.go to joint tab, click "selunasigned" to get all vertex, and assign it to the join
4. Run the zero joint plugin
5. go in anim mode
6. Set frame 1 as keyframe (ctrl+k)
7. go to frame 10, move the sphere randomly around, ctrl+k
8. Repeat with frames 20, 25, 30
9. Run animation. It shows, it's not smooth, it keeps shaking, but it seems to work.
10. Export to MDL
11. Paste a sample heading and change the interval for walk to 1-15. Remove all other anims. Add a texture (Textures\Gutz.blp)
12. Convert to mdx and open in viewer

I get a bloody corpse ball, but when I set to walk animation, nothing happens. The sphere won't move. Same with magos editor.

I tried this with more complex model, other ways to export, other animations (rotations/translations). It just never works. Anyone know what's the problem?

Interval should not be 1-15, but 42-625.

(Keyframe/24) * 1000
