Mercury Blade Turn-Based ORPG

This will be either a turn-based ORPG, or a campaign similiar style to HeroRPG campaign. Each fight will be independant, as in the players will not be fighting alongside eachother.

I don't have much so far but what I do have includes:

Your kingdom is in ruin, after a huge attack on it(cinematic). Most people are dead, screen goes to soldiers laying on the battle field, you press left and right to view each of certain ones, pick one, to be your hero. You wake up as him, seeing the land in ruins. You see the king, nearly dead and rush to his body. BLah blah blah, "what can I do to help? Nearly all is lost." says you.
The king says to go see the wiseman, or prophet or somethin, up on the mountain near you, and dies. You go to see the prophet, fighting on the way. When there, cinematic, you ask if there is anything you can do. He says there is nothing. You say there must be something, and that you will do whatever it takes. The prophet responds, "Well there is one thing...but how far are you willing to go to save your kingdom?" You say you will do whatever it takes. He tells you of the Mercury Blade, says it has power beyong no other, blah blah blah. You will spend time searching for the blade, with no leads, going from town to town getting sparse information. The closer you get to finding it, the more danger that comes your way. Later, you will automatically gain party members, the same for everyone, after completing certain quests, or getting to a point in the storyline. You gain more and more enemies in the quest for the blade bleh bleh.

Then later, when you finally get to the blade, it can be used to save your kingdom, or grant eternal power or something.


If you want to work on this, you will need most likely need WEU, still not sure.
I am good at triggers, but could always use more help.

I don't see how turn based is going to work very well online, but anyway.

What are you using WEU for? Because it is only good for terraining and the changes it makes there does not make the map unimportable, I believe.

Well, I want the map 480x480, and you cant open maps that big in regular WE. And with turn based online, I can get it to work, each player will have their own random encounter timer. when it goes off, depending on what area of the map theyre in, theyll be teleported to a "fight" area. Each player will have theyre own. When the fights over, to get them back to the position they were in, I'll have a small region follow the player around, when the random encounter timer goes off, you pause the trigger making the region follow it, then at the end of the fight, move him to that region and enable the trigger again. I've tested it before.
