When creating a model from scratch in Max5, how do you make a section of the model teamcolored when the texture for that area is alpha'd? WIll it be automatic or is there a setting?

... Read the Art Tools. How many times do I have to tell you that? It's in there under composite materials and junk. Stop asking questions like this.

It sounds like he's asking how to have alpha and team color in the same material.

I don't think it's possible to do that. You could just separate the areas by adding some polygons, though.

well yeah I thought that Chriz was talking about using both teamcolor and transparencies

Oh, then no that's not possible. You have to do what Guesst said.

I think i made a research of this once and i went to this conclussions:

---- Transparent & Team color can not be aplied in that mean without being able to make your own replaceable textures array.

---- This is only possible if geometry makes the shape needed, and so on avoid transparent use.

I'm sorry but there is no way to make by materials, you will have to waste some polies there.
