Scaling size of spell effects on a unit...

Is there anyway to make it so a spell effect or aura on a unit does not scale with the scaling value in the unit editor??? I know setting scale projectiles to false has no effect on aura's or spell effects and I can't find any value in the unit, ability or effect editor to disable it...

Is it just somewhere that I'm missing, or is there a trigger I can use to fix this?

If not is there a model editor that will allow me to do this or easily adjust the size of the model to my liking so I don't need to use the scaling value?

I think the answer is no. But u can try creating a dummy unit, with model file = ur spell effect, at the position of casting unit, then remove it.

There is an option to say animation suffix for attachments, and this works for entangling roots and lightning shield, I think it works for auras too, but you can always change the aura's model

"There is an option to say animation suffix for attachments"

And where is this located? Triggers? The Object Editor? or Magos' model editor?

I couldn't find this anywhere in the Unit Editor... Not sure exactly what you mean... Only things I could find related to attacthments in the unit editor were...

Required Animation Names - Attatchment
and
Required Attactment Link Names

It is "required animation names - attachments" (bad naming again, blizzard)

Compare the knight and the peasant for example. The knight has medium there and that causes lightning shield to use the medium animation when on knights

Im assuming there is small, medium and large?

For my familiars I had just left that value completely empty... I am guessing medium would prolly work best.

Well I tried this, and it had absolutly no effect, I assigned "medium" to all my familiars, and tested my Thunder Vale spell on all of em, which is just a custom cloned version of Lightning Shield and the size of the lightning shield was still entirly dependant on their scaling value...

My Blade Familiar had a very tiny lightning shield appear around him while my Ice familiar had a huge lightning shield... How can I correct this problem because setting the suffix to medium on my familiars seems to have no effect...

Do I need to add something to the model?

Here see for yourself... These familiars all similiar in size in the game, have very different scaling values, I gave them origin, chest, overhead and head attatchment points... I then applied "medium" to them under animation attatchments in the unit editor... And well see the non existant results when the same spell is cast on these familiars.

Only certain effect models have different 'sizes'. It's a feature of the model itself, not a general thing.

Well I found an extremely easy solution... Just scale the unit in the model editor to your desired size, as opposed to using the object editor.
