So I made a custom Frostnova for purpose of dummy unit casting for slow that does 0 damage and has 0 nova damage. It deals a lot of damage for some reason (a lot being 120 or so damage). So that didnt work. I set the damages to 0.01 (for both nova and target), it still does around 120 damage. Its not triggers, none of said triggers do damage. Its not the base spell, the base spell does 50 damage or so. EDIT: So my quesiton is... why? |

Nova is not bugged zero damage == no damage |

Does the dummy unit have the CORRECT Nova? Thats what I would check first Trigger: Actions-
![]() Create 1 Dummy at (reg) facing (blah)
![]() Give Ability Nova (Dummy) to (Last created Unit)
![]() Issue order blah - Frost Nova |

It has the correct nova, yes. I think I figured it out. I think my timing is off, and the Dummy casts twice, or rather, there are 2 dummys made instead of 1. EDIT: Wait no, this is not true. Nevermind. EDIT 2: Meaning I still have no idea why it does that. |

Why not just use an actual slow ability for slow? And there's no reason frost nova could or would do more damage than specified, other that gameplay constant considerations, which I think don't apply to a spell with 0 damage |

Right, which is why I thought it cast more than once. Anyway, made a topic about it in the Triggers seciton, possibly will shed insight. Anyway, maybe I should use slow, but I rather like the frost effect. |

Then use slow with the nova's effect. Or did you mean the blueish tint? |

I would rather use frost damage. I suppose I COULD just do frost damage triggered... |
