Does anybody know how they made Mogul Kahn, the Axe's (from DotA) counter helix. I looked at the different abilities and none of them seemed to work the way his does. I tried using Hardened Skin, but there was no whirlwind effect, I thought of basing it off of evasion, however in DotA the word "miss" doesn't appear over the opponents head. Any ideas would be useful, thanks. |

emjlr3 released a set of spell maps that have that spell in it, i have it somewhere but im not sure which one it is but just search for DotA in wc3sear.ch's spell section btw: dont you think it would be better to make your own spell taht isnt from another map? |

I made an exact replica of the spell, it worked the same too. 1 problem: I dont have it anymore. I could reproduce it in about 10 minutes, as its not hard, but i used Shadow's old version of Damage Detection, the newer version im not up to date with, so i dont bother anymore. Anyway, the basics of it: A unit is damaged (Shadow's system came in here) Damaged unit has ability Couner Helix Order the unit to play "spin" animation (notice once its played it, it only stays there for about 0.35 seconds, so this is perfect, as the animation flickers back nearly instantly) set local group to all enemies in radius and damage them, RemoveEffect(AddEffect(blood, ...)) Destroy locals. set the units life to its current life + damage taken. The damage is refunded and enemies take damage, it worked great, but the map was somehow lost or deleted, im still in search of it today.... |

thats true. but a counterattack activating when damaged looks better, and works smoother IMO. |
