I was wondering how to make it so when a unit uses a spell it will fire a damaging projectile from his current facing position? ![]() |

No ok see I want it so when the spell is clicked it instantly fires without having to select a target for the spell. |

Use thunderclap that targets none then when unit casts that thunderclap create a dummy and make it shoot shockwave at a polar projection based on the unit's facing angle (create the caster on the position of triggering unit) |

err, why don't you just use breath of fire? pretty sure thats it's only just a close range shockwave. just change the spell. breath of frost probably works too though. then again, i don't know what would happen if the target had drunken haze... meh. |

Like vex said, use some instant cast spell like thunder clap, channel, something, then just change the spells options in the object editor to not do anything at all, then go to the trigger editor, make some event that detects that you cast your spell, then create a dummy unit, add an expiration timer to it, then shockwave(or something), and issue the shockwave order something like 200 towards the caster's facing. |
