I followed the spell editing tutorila by Annonymous (the bottom most one in the tutorials section... I did fine up to the point where you use TechMPQ to put the spells into a map... he may have had very saw hands by then as he said at the end but it become very confusing and unclear when the rest was perfectly readable... Can somone help me put edited spells in a map with TechMPQ? |

It's real easy! All you have to do is remeber what file you extracted. "Units\HumanAbilityFunc.txt " for exaplme Open up TechMPQ and click on "Add/Replace File" In the new dialog, click "Browse" next to the "File to add" field and select your modified ".txt" file. Click "Browse" next to the "MPQ Archive" field and select your map.(Remeber, ".w3m" files are MPQ archives) Now, under the "Packed Filename" field, put the full path and name of the file you selected, in our case it's "Units\HumanAbilityFunc.txt " Click on the "MPQ It!" button to add the file to the map. |
