1680 polygons. |

is this meant to be used in warcraft? becouse if it is, 1600 polies is a rediculously high amount for a model with THAT little detail. |

Should it be moved to the high poly section? |

What would TDR say? Let's visualize... Quote:

No becouse its not a high poly model. When modelling high poly we're talking 10.000+ polygons, so this is nowhere near that. I was just saying that if you where planning this for wc3, the poly count is way too high for a simple model like that. |

high poly's aside.. it looks very nice.. the wireframe and color are distracting from the actually quality of the model, i'd like to see it with a skin. |

Are you planning to release it? I like it, but I think that the poly count it's a bit too large, too. Anyway, it's really nice ![]() |

Wow those last comments were nice to hear. :) I to am find the polygon amount strange. This is my first model where I really learned how to use modifiers and make symmtery better. Release it? Nah, I wanted to give it fairly many polygons and I just realized that the symetri and stuff is wrong so I am making a new one. When I decided to make it I just searched for a screenshot on google and found a quite crappy one, I was to lazy to start Diablo II and take a shot. The I found a much better screenshot in my D2 folder, which shows that the "towers" and the other two small heights are ment be placed with 360/5 degrees between. Not to mention I have never made a skin before... |

Anyway, when you finish the second one, I would like to see it released |

erwt, 10k polys is still realy low poly. high poly is like above 80k. This stays here. It has not a lot of polygons and it would work fine in wc3, so stop bitching about high polycount. But yes, I agree that it is a waste of polygons, this siple volume could have been more optimised. But it has a good topology and looks nice aniway. |

Next version. Much more sides on the bottom cylinder and more segments on the towers. 2018 polygons. |

What the hell is something with 80k polies ? These modern racing games have 35k for each car. |

Doom 3? Although most modern games don't really go that high into poly count anymore, since they have a ton of ways to make things look better other than just pure poly power ![]() Anyway, that new one looks good. Also, you should make those prongs (towers, whatever) higher than in the first one, or it'll look stumpy. |
