Hello Everybody^^ After 2 days of finger pain, my Silly JASS Utility is finally out! What does it do? This helps silly Jassers (like me) to learn JASS functions, constants, variables, etc more quickly, by listing them all out CATEGORIED, and giving you handy implementations. One thing to point out: if you use it you're not silly ^^ The one who's really silly is Wyvernoid, and his SILLY JASS UTILITY. Features:
How could I have edited this now if I would come back in 3 years? Well, I just didn't expect that our computer class would allow the connection to Internet ^^ Don't consider me silly this time, 'cause things are different here in China from the place where most of you live. What I mean by these is that I probably can log on every several weeks ;-P What's new in the coming version... "Double-click to get this into the WE window" in the works. Also, "Add custom JASS libraries" is being developed too. Version History: ![]() v2.0.3 BETA
![]() ![]() - PUBLISHED VERSION -
![]() ![]() Changed the layout of the window. Merged the definition window and the main window, for I think that would be more convenient.
![]() ![]() Added a bugged Counter-Search feature.
![]() ![]() Did not attach the runtime 'cause you should have no problem running it on most of today's machines. Find the runtime download link below.
![]() ![]() Did not add the four-language feature. I lost touch with Jacek and lilanime and could not do the Polish and German version.
![]() ![]() Did not attach IYWRS.htm. You know that I was in a hurry ;-)
![]() ![]() Optimized the search to some extent. You'll find it easier to use now ;-)
![]() v1.6.3
![]() ![]() Fixed another bunch of bugs. I just cant list them all out.
![]() ![]() Will be uploading the downloads in two files: Runtime.rar and SillyJassUtil.rar. Those who don't have VB runtimes could just download the runtime.rar and the sillyjassutil.rar doesn't contain runtime.
![]() ![]() Changed the way you view definitions. When you open the definition window you will not see definition being colored and scrolling up.
![]() v1.5
![]() ![]() Updated functions and variables and such to the 1.20e patch. Former version only contained 1.07 ;-P
![]() v1.4
![]() ![]() Colored the definitions VERY WELL(at least I think so ;-))
![]() ![]() Added an IYWRS.html file as a readme (IYWRS - the abbr of If You Wanna Read Something)
![]() 1.1.5
![]() ![]() Added Built-in Types.
![]() ![]() Fixed an issue which causes you not to paste an implementation or definition after using the "Copy" button. The real thing is that it copied RTF for you. Now you can choose either to copy RTF or Plain Text.
![]() 1.1.4
![]() ![]() - PUBLISHED VERSION -
![]() ![]() Fixed an issue which causes a dialog to appear every time you view a definition.
For the VB Runtime: download something here if your computer doesn't run the utility. |

It's silly.. Now seriously, it seems quite nice, but it is annoying me that I can't enlarge the window, I don't see a reason for it being so small. But I think and hope that it can be useful for some people. Will be better when (or if) you make it show more details, for example arguments and types. |

Updated in the first post so that you can resize it now. And... their definitions will come out in near future may be tommorow, Blade. Thank you anyway! MORE COMMENTS ARE APPRECIATED! |

Interesting, however it's only useful for people moving from GUI to JASS really. Maybe you should group them under similar headings as the GUI to help former GUI users find the natives they need to use. |

Multiple types of categorization (like the one described by some random dude above me), and some "double click on an object inserts it at your current WE script section" feature would come in handy. |

It could get really useful if it could copy the prototypes of the functions (the takes .... returns poem) |

@Tim. At present the groups are from the comments in their respective script files. 'Think it pretty good, right? But to categorize them in Treigger Editor fashion... Good! I'll try it! @Alevice "Double click to get an object in current window"... hmm, sounds good, but it's relatively hard... And, in fact these JASS elements are not very long, inputting them would be very easy I think. Also I don't come up with a suitable fashion for them to be input in. Maybe I'll add a "Set as topmost" option, making you refer to the window more easily. @Vexorian Sorry but I think I've explained very clearly... This feature is upcoming today. THANK ALL OF YOU ANYWAY! MORE COMMENTS! |

Er, what to put then? [Better there is something to put, 'cause if I delete it there would be another 2 days of finger pain ;-)] Edit: Anybody can come up with what to put in the right click mouse menu? There is only a "See Definition" under development now. |

It's really a silly, silly, silly program.... but I like it a lot!!!!!! It's the kind of program that I wanted because I'm a JASS learner. Congratulations. +rep Edit: I've just tried to give you rep, but I did that in other thread so I couldn't put you ATM. But you really deserve it. |
