Ok, I´ve started to skin, and I nearly finsih one skin, but if I try to chech it in Wolrd Editor, to see how it looks like in game, I am failing, there are two options, I am too stupid to upload and make it right to add skin to the model, or my file is somehow "bugged". The path of my model should be this one below : units\other\Proudmoore\Proudmoore.blp Can someone check it for me ? Best with a screenshot of it And remember, it is not finished, so no comments or any critics please |

Because I can't check it myself (I don't have Wc3 installed) all I can say is, after you imported the skin did you save the map, close the map or WE and launch it in Wc3 itself? Just importing a skin will not cause it show up right away in WE. |

I did it like in Tutorial written, but it is not there, and sometimes there is an invisible model with only the teamcolor parts visible ... |

In that case refer to this thread here, http://www.wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=86491 That member had the same problem, occurs when you use the wrong format. |

Ur skin must be converted with the Image Extractor, or another program, from blp to TGA format, that way u can edit alpha channels, then, when u finnish ur skin, load alpha channels in the skin, save it, then convert to blp again. That way it should work. |

And if you are using a program which cannot save or export to BLP, TGA, or JPG to edit the files, don't use Microsoft Paint to convert the image file to one of the three. It eats pictures like Homer scarfs donuts, and ruins them beyond all hope of heavenly intervention. |

Hey guys, I do not think I am wrong in converting, I just wanted to if someone can upload my skin in a map, so it is workable ... cause I think my fault is something with the paths, and even the tutorial does not really work ... |

Old post, I hope somebody gets back to me on this: I have some skinning troubles too. I'm trying to import a stupid Medihv skin that I made, and it just will NOT import. Steps: • Took out of Wc3 Image Extractor (to .tga) • Loaded it up in Photoshop CS2 • Made my changes (looks decent) • Opened it back up in Wc3 Image Extractor (converted it to .blp -- alpha channels were fine) • Imported the .blp into my map. • Changed the path to "units\creeps\Medihv\Medihv.blp" • Saved, closed, opened, loaded = Same exact skin as before. |

You misspelled the path. It´s "units\Creeps\Medivh\Medivh.blp" |

It works can you make a better screenshot of it ? Or can you send me the map with it, so I could look it up, what I made wrong, cause the file is not really bugged or something ![]() |

Actually I'm not sure if that is the path or not, I just saved it as whatever it was coming out of Warcraft III Image Extractor. I'm pretty sure (I'm at school right now I cannot check) that it is Medihv and not Medivh. Either way I'll double check when I get home, I'm 95% sure that this is not the problem though. |

Code:
Units\Creeps\Medivh\Medivh.blp |
