Here is my skeletal mage. the skin's unshaded as of yet (except the gloves, which u can't see anyway). This is because it's easier to change before I start shading. so if u got thoughts please post! :gsmile:

I REALLY think you should start over on the Arthas Death night model, it has a much more "Dead" look and a much better "Mage horse" look. The horse looks horrible, use the Arthas undea dhorse but change the color, and give arthas skeletal features. Alpha out the sword and talk to someone about adding hero glow to the hands or something for a more mage effect. With you current model, no offense but its crap and it will turn out like crap if you keep going. start over on arthas I say. If you can't alpha out the sword or hero glow then ask someone else to do it once you have the official final model ready. Trust me, if you do it the way I suggest it will turn out kickass I bet.

Edit-Also, don't make a skeletal horse, if you want to do that without it looking like a halloween costume then you have to think about making a new model which includes UV mapping and its VERY HARD to do that AND edit the skin successfully.

yeah i know it looks just like a mexican costume. I don't think arthas will work tho - he has too much armour, hair, and a sword. possibly I'll put flesh on the horse to make it look like an abomination-horse ... or a very dark, evil horse

If thats the case, then I suggest alpha-ing out the beard. also, make the eye sockets a bit less circular. I strongly suggest that if possible, use CnP to use another realy skeleton model's head. If you would do that, and possibly most likely have to resize it, then the model would be near perfect. Otherwise than that, he looks decent for the moment. :D

Edit-Forget what i said, don't make the bear alpha'ed. Just make it look very dirty and...undead..you know?

i think i'll turn the beard into a shroud (like the acolytes') and use the orc warlord's horse. the skull is monotone and isn't even started yet - I don't think I'll need CnP.

Can't you just alpha out the black space to get rid of the costume look?

nice job, but the only part that is super-tacky, would have to be the horse.

and to everyone posting, keep in mind the subject is "early work-in-progress"
