I am training on terraining in wc3, and here is something based on one of the tutorials (dont remember whos tut, dont have too long time now.) Best tip ive picked up is "In the real world, nothing is flat", and i did my best to try make it "rought". Please tell me whats in need for improvements, so i can learn more. |

This is too boring. Learn to use fog for the atmosphere and when taking a picture remove the grid. Use more tile variation. Grass, dirt, grassy dirt, rough dirt, thick grass and so on. As Dark said, use more enviormental doodads, and maybe put some props or whatever to spice it up a little bit. Keep going |

"In the real world nothing is flat" That's HernanG tutorial :P. Still I don't recall seeing him using one grass type and rock tiles So damn straight that look away from nature, Keep trying Though. And the tree, Definetly needs a change, Blizzard trees suck. Download UTM (Ultimate Terraining Map) Found on a sticky on this forum. It has everything a good terrainer wish (Well almost -.-) Not that bad though. ~Dead |

You don't have to, Just get the stuff you need, Go to the object editor and find the values that need exporting for each doodad you want. |

or don't use all those fancy programs and terrain like in the good old days. Draw your inspiration from the real amazing world outside your window and use a lot of height varation, smoothing and distortion in order to make it look good and of course varation of your tiles. |
