Hi. I made a custom loading screen for my map, but it loads ingame, the image quality has deteriorated and it looks like it doesn't have enough colors in the palette. Is there a way around this, or is it just something I'll have to accept? The original .blp file I use is fine when I view it with the image viewer, and the color/quality loss happens whether I use WEU's easy way, or do it manually with an imported .mdx. I've even tried replacing the regular textures for the Campaign loading screens but its the same loss (my loading screen is a modified campaign screen). I'm dying to know if there's a way to prevent this, I assume there is since the campaign screens are crystal clear whereas mine are dirty and gross. |

Try importing them the normal way instead of using WEU to do it for you. |

I tried normally importing, but the result was the same. Here's a screenshot of what happens: http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/3302/screengz7.jpg Again, is this normal? Since the blizzard campaign screens are fine, I should assume this one should be as well. Is there some kind of setting I have to toggle in the editor to not compress my textures or something? |

PM me the images and files you are using. I'll fix it up for you. Also PM any Photoshop files you are using(PSD) |

Fixed it. Posted it here in case someone else has a problem like this. Here is what you do. Download this file: http://world-editor-tutorials.thehel...dingScreen.mdx Then edit image size in photoshop to 512x512. Save the image as a tga with 32 bits/pixels resolution Now convert the tga into a blp. Rename it as "FullScreen.blp" Importing your Files Inside World Editor, load the Import Manager under the Module menu. Click on File, Import and open the BLP file that you just saved. Now you need to change the custom path. Double click the item inside the import manager, and check the box that says Use Custom Path. Change the path to "FullScreen.blp" with nothing before it and proper case. Now import the loading screen file. This model file is a new loading screen which is only one texture. Other loading screens have four corners, and require four images. This screen makes it much easier to use. Once you import it, double click it and check Use Custom Path. Change the model files path to just "LoadingScreen.mdx" with nothing before it either. |

I did the same thing you did, but the colors still come out fuzzy like in: http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/3302/screengz7.jpg :( Maybe there just isn't a way around this? |

My Warcraft is run in 1024x768. But it's also maximized in windows mode. As for the quality of the image, I'm not that photoshop savy so I'll just list off things: Color Mode: RGB at 8bits/channel. I save as .tga at 32bits/pixel. I use WC3 Image Extractor II to convert into blp, and it looks fine in the program's preview screen - it just gets messed up ingame. I've attached the original PSD file I used. Any help would be appreciated! |

I just found out why this was happening. I run warcraft in windowed mode, but when I tried it regularly the screen appeared fine. But the regular loading screens work in windowed mode, why would this cause a problem? |

Is your video resolution 1024x768x16 as opposed to 1024x768x32? |

No, it's x32 |

Are you sure that it is set to 32, both in the normal screen settings, but also in the menu in wc3? |
