The ingame torch model is too long and too big to be used properly in the hands of a unit. For a cine I need villagers and peasants to hold a torch in one hand so I wondered if someone can do/tell me where to find a torch model that would work for this. I already tried blizzard basic model, the lamp in the Nasrudin indoor pack and the torch in B²M pack but the models are all way too large so it looks grotesque. I know nothing about model editing so I don't know if it's difficult/long to just reduce the blizz' basic glowing torch model (shorten the handle + reduce size) so it can be used for what I want. (Anyway +rep for the one who can help me with this.) |

Thanks, but when I try to attach the model to the hand it floats in the air Is it possible to change the attachement point of the torch or something ? And it's still a little too big, because of the anims I don't want the guys to put fire in their hair ![]() |

It's not the attachment point, the torch shouldn't even have one. The place on the torch from wich it's held must be at the center of the axis. |

Couldnt you have just rescaled the normal torch ingame? |

he wants it attached so no i dont think that would have worked >.> here let me fix that little floating problem. as for size...i can make it smaller but...its already pretty small as is. Edit: better? |

Mmmh... the torch can't seem to be handled correctly, it looks like the unit's arm is burning cause the torch is IN the arm (and the light glow is not with the flame but floating above). I suppose it's impossible to have the guy carrying the torch in a natural look. Or is it ? It's a shame, I wanted to have something like when your avatar carries a torch in Neverwinternight, but I guess having the good effect in WE is impossible. Anyway thx map-maker to be so fast ![]() |

Here's one I made earlier. Designed for TheCaptain/Footman, but it should do the trick on any normal unit. |

mmf...i moved it down to the middle of the axis so i dont know why the flame is in his hand >.> also i know about the glow floating, for some reason it wouldnt let me move it down >.< i tried and tried. but just use RDZ's that torch didnt take me any time at all..just some VM work |

OK, RDZ's model works fine, even if it's a bit long for a torch. Thanks a lot and +rep for both of you (but it seems it can't give to RDZ at the moment). |
