Ok so anyways heres my problem. Im following the tutorial found here: http://saga.samods.org/tutorial/wc3modeling.html but ive ran into ANOTHER problem. Ive gotten down to the part where the tutorial says "Next, click Save, and save it to our folder we created earlier." right before you hit Step 3. I click to save the model i want to edit and it gives me the error message displayed in the first attached image. It still saves the file, but the file takes up 0 space. I then continue on with the tutorial until i get to the point where im supposed to import it into 3ds max. i get to the point where it says "Check Static* and De-check Bone Rotation. Then, select Import MDX, and load our grunt.mdx in our My Model folder." but when i try to import it another error message comes up (shown in the second attached image) and of course it doesnt open the model. why? please help!![]() |

Are you sure you wouldn't be better just messing around with the Oinkertools? Far as I'm aware, that's a very old method and fraught with difficulties that the Oinkertools and other MDL editing bits and pieces avoid. |

I don't know what it is, but there must be something wrong happening when you export the mdx from the mpq. I never encountered this problem and I used the same method and software. |
