Fog help

WTFish
I havn't mapped wc3 in a while, and I'm having a small problem with fog. I am creating a map (playable ), so the view is going to be standard. I can't find a fog color that will complement my terrain, and I was wondering if anyone might have some ideas of values to use, or certain colors which will enhance the atmosphere? I have attached a few images of the basic (WIP) terrain. (sry for rubbish image quality, only have ms paint )

If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.

Ps. Is there always a certain fog that will complete a terrain, or is it sometimes ok not to use fog?

A brown fog should look good I suppose, for the values the best is to try in WE with "in game-view" or whatever it is called in english ( shortcut=V )

And if the brown is not good you can set a custom color from it by playing with R/G/B.

Fog is ALWAYS good. ALWAYS.

Try with an Orange fog, a Dark Purple fog, a Brown fog, a Grey fog, imagine u are in the place u are terraining and how it would look if it was real.

I think an orange fog with a bit of brown mixed in would be nice. Also, maybe some wind weather effects.

Thanks for the input. I finally settled on a slightly blue-ish fog (the only one that actually added to the atmosphere, and enhanced the colors, lol). Anyway, thanks again for help.

teal fog, start very close to camera and end at like 8000

so start 500
end 8000
color Teal
Additive, .50 density

dammit, just saw your post. Yeah I was suggesting something like you got. More tealish though, that would add a bit of tension and mystery.

I never understood those two values, the 8000 and 5000, what do they do?

Teh fog will start to increase density from the "start" to the "end". So lets say you have start 1000 and end 2000, then from 0 to 1000 distance it will be 100% clear. After that it will slightly grow more dense from 1000 to 2000 and >2000 is totally fogged.
