Im sorry but i havent seen any related subjects on the forums, so i wanted to ask. Is it possible to make a 3d campaign-like loading screen for custum campaigns? And if so how do you go about that?.. I was thinking about getting a high detailed model with a background and a camara angle. Is it possible? |

of course it's possible, how do you think blizzard made them? Just set up a scene with whatever you want (though not "very detailed", I say 10 - 15k polygons, for the whole scene - should be about it) and label the animations stand 1, stand 2, etc. |

How do you move the camera, by the way? |

i think its done throuhg making the scene move, not moving the cam, looks the same |

Nah, I don't think so. Then you would notice by the particles emitters. |

The camera fields are allowed to animate like any others. No idea how to get the actual mechanics of it right, though. Maybe make two different cameras with Magos' and copy the keys... Would need serious experimentation, I suspect. |

Is about the screen menu or map loading ? About the screen menu, of course, it's possible just look at mine by download the campaign file at : www.acathla.com My camera moves a little at the beginning. If you don't want a loop on your camera, as blizzard undead one and mine, you will need 2 sequences. After the more difficult is have the good scale with what you can use the fog from WE correctly. |

So far i've selected the model i want and given it one stand animation, multiple stands have made the model "jump". And one camara. When i load it up as the menu screen, the model is there. But textures are screwed up, some parts dont show up and others just look greyscaled. If anyone has any idea on whats wrong then, come forth and speak. In the mean time more tests will continue, and Abriko i will be looking into your campaign screen and check out what you've done. |

Campaign screens have no lighting; so you'll either need to use the Unshaded tag on all your materials, or add in a few light sources of your own. |

"Campaign screens have no lighting; so you'll either need to use the Unshaded tag on all your materials, or add in a few light sources of your own." ...no, it have light "When i load it up as the menu screen, the model is there. But textures are screwed up, some parts dont show up and others just look greyscaled." My first try was like that... i made a lot of test, import an original campaign screen etc to see... I'll save many of your hours of work... Your problem is the fog. Your model have to be reduced to have the good scale. I'm suprised that you don't know my campaign ( and the Darky28 campaign too ..) where there is a real 3D background. I'm so secret ? :p I want to make maximum of surprises for the player but i see that is not good for my campaign promotion.... so here there is my campaign background : ![]() |

Well after hours of testing and trying i finally got some results. Turns out that you do need a light source. If you dont want to do that then just check the Unshaded option in the material options for each model or geoset. Textures can be transparent and additive. Either you remove team colors alpha areas or they will be recognized as transparent if that option is enabled. For my screen i used only one camara. ![]() Abriko, i did know about your project years ago.. but back then my warcraft wasnt compatible with your campaign. Someone should write a topic regarding this subject and sticky it. Since i can imagine most people dont know how to make custum 3d load screens. |

Sweet, this will help me a lot, I've always wanted to make my own load screen, thanks =] Abriko, just got your campaign, that was some pretty sweet stuff, the only thing that somewhat bugged me were certain terrain textures, but away from that everything was pretty cool. SinisterX, where can I get your campaign? |

Im still on the BETA version of the campaign. And as you can see the campaign isnt in english (Its in Spanish), if i get my hands on TFT english version i might translate the campaign, but i dont have plans of doing that right now. |
