ADVENT OF THE ZENITH
Current Version: v2.00t Public Beta Advent of the Zenith is a custom map for WC3: The Frozen Throne created singlehandedly by Rising_Dusk. It has been in production for nearly 18 months, and possesses some nifty features and 18 wicked heros to play as so far, 9 on each team. The Hallowed Order has long pursued evil and impure beasts across the world, slaying them in the name of justice. Now, at the edge of the world, they face The Bane of Eternity one last time... The board is set and the pieces are placed, the rest is up to you... Cool Features:
I won't walk out there and tell you the map is perfect, because it isn't. I imagine the beta will have bugs. There is a reason it is a beta afterall. If you find something, yell and scream at me. I think there are still cache issues somewhere in the map, but I really can't find them for the life of me. IF something happens (Like an SFX freezes, or you get permadust from knockback, or something along those lines) then it is probably 99% a cache error. Let me know about these! So yeah, now that you're all psyched out, I demand you give the beta a try and yell/scream at me about how crappy a job I did. (To be fair I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case >_<) Oh yeah, in case it does some weird crap with the name -- The map's name should be "AotZ_v2.00(p)" and nothing else, make sure it looks like that. ============================================================================= Alright, that's it! Let's see how this works out, eh? In the final private beta we totally flaked out and forgot to get screenshots, so I went through my "Last Replay" and scored the best 12 I could find. [X] - Khornate Champion life reduced by 200

[X] - Khornate Champion armor type switched from hero to heavy
[X] - Forger duration decreased to 15 seconds at all levels
[X] - Forger cooldown increased by 15 seconds

This looks like a very good map, sadly I can't test it for you as I don't have Wc3 installed. I however wish you all the best with this project (I have been following the progress thread and will continue to do so) +Rep! for the release of a Public Beta. |

Yeah, I appreciate the support! My only problem is now getting the bloody thing to upload. I've tried uploading the .rar, the .w3x, etc. No avail. I even tried attaching it to random other posts and it didn't work. I'll spend the next twenty minutes getting it working. -_- Sorry for the constant stream of delays. EDIT: I cannot figure this out! Damnit, I so badly want to get it up here and get this show on the road, but I have no other upload options. I tried the pastebin, on this reply, on the main post in the topic, in another topic, everywhere. :/ Is there something I'm missing here? |

He is among the many "surprises" I kept hidden during the private betas. :P If you know anything about AotZ (Like have played the really old versions), you'll know who that skeleton is. ^_^ *Makes an attempt to upload on this post... To no avail...* |

Hi Rising!!! I've played your previous version, and I like it a lot, unfortunately I only could play it in singleplayer so I think I couldn't appreciate all it's potential. It will be a pleasue to play this beta and check it out all the new features. |

I don't really know about these things, but I smelled some pretty nasty snowballing when I was playing with some randomers... And that Rogue Marksman seemed awfully imba, racing to level eight when most of us were at four and five... |

Odds are you can't upload it as your total uploads would go over 5mb. |

Leveling is the same for all heros, so everyone has the potential to get to any given level at relatively the same time. And the extent of "snowballing" is you get gold for killing a hero and they die for awhile. About 100g of it -- Oh and another 50g/assisters per kill they had when they died. So it's not really a lot. Not like the dying player loses gold or anything, I hate it when maps do that. Oh, and Griffen, if it hates me because my total uploaded would go over 5MB, then why is the AotZ topic in the M&C forums allowed to go to 5.41MB? It also wouldn't let me upload before I had the pictures in either. I really can't figure it out. -_- |
