dont confuse this with Daelin's Holy Fx Pack. Mines has a different blend of colors which has more blue in it and in my opnion, looks unique =P this pack contains holy strike, holy nova, holy blessing and holy explosion. i also included a picture of holy strike, holy nova and holy explosion used together and it looks good =D |

In my opinion, it doesn't matter the means, it matters only the result. They look damned good in game, they're a great mesh of colors. As such, they get approved and get used in maps. Besides, not everyone even knows how to modify particles. So whatev', stop being so antagonistic. |

I'm not saying this against the pack. Not at all! I think these effects are decent even though they are not scratched. Though I prefere scratch over editing, I have to agree that the result is the important element. :) Alas, some scratch effects could look like plain modifications if they mimic a blizzard element really well. ~Daelin |

Editing is very important too. Fe, you need elemental arrows, you'll not make them from scratch, you pick existing models and... edit particles. Fang, I have nothing against your models, I'm just laughing how it is easy to make good and useful models. |

Because it all boils down to the end result. You could freehand a skin and spend 20 hours on it, but if it ends up looking like crap it won't be getting approved. Am I wrong? And spells are approved, so are well made skins. I don't see the point to calling my argument pathetic, it seems everything that is made of quality gets approved here. Besides, the amount of SFX makers is completely dwindled by the sheer amount of makers of everything else. I see a lot more people trying their hand at skinning and failing than particle editting. And oh well, I seem to be rambling. Something simple that's infinitely effective is just as useful as something complex. So blah. |
