Both are really nice but the perspective is a bit off on both of them. In the first one, you are very inconsistant w/ your perspective. At first glance its kinda easy to look over, but after some examination, you can tell that something is a bit off. The left platform is different from the right platform. You did do very well on the left platform, the bench, and the staircase however It was very ambitious to do tiled flooring.. especially small tiled flooring. The squares are kind of inconsistant, and theres something about the roof that is off putting. The billiard room's perspective is a bit more accurate. I'm no expert on perspective, but i think the left side of the pool table's shadow should also be in perpective to the origin point(which i believe is up and right of the center of the piece) Keep at it... your pieces do have potential... i'm just nit picking. :) |

Candy_Warlock: Thanks! FatUglyNakedGuy: First thing, thanks, too... just some points on your critics, i think you're right with the wrong prportions, but e.g. at the small tiled flooring i didn't care... But im very sure that perspective is correct in this piece, maybe confusing, because of the turn the rails take... But I like these long critics ;) |

Perspective looks alright in the subway station. The edgeof the floor and the wall isn't horizontal, so this might throw the viewer off a bit. Also the tiles are commendable, but most certaintly are not correctly spaced. If you want a challenge, try dividing it properly. The way to do this is simple. I could try to explain it, but showing is better. Go here for an easy explanation with visual guides. The colors in the second step are working much better than in the third. Your color choices are alright, but need to be integrated better. The saturations and values need to be tweaked. The grey need some chroma to it, and the teals are too saturated. Keep working at it. Keep up the experimentation. I would like to see what else you can come up with while pushing yourself and taking up more ambitious projects. Try three point perspective and drawing eliptical objects in perspective. There is a wealth of informations on the matter available since it is a technical thing; try googling it up. |
