I know the MPQ editing stuff like using w3 viewer. but what are the specifics to changing the map picture and the text above it in the default loading screen replies are greatly appreciated |

There are tutorials for changing the preview and loading screen pictures; they are not difficult to find and are somewhere in the beginners tutorials I believe. The text above the map preview is changed in the WE; it's one of the map/scenario options and is by default something like, "Just another Warcraft map." |

Btw, if you use a picture with text, and have no standard Wc3 text, once the map has finished loading it will not ask you to "Click any key to continue". The more text your map shows on the loading screen, the longer it will wait, this is a major advantage for people who abuse long messages by waiting 2-3 minutes. |

well. thanks for your input but what i know both of what you guys are saying. Im not trying to change the map name, I'm trying to actually change what the screen says above the picture of the map in the default loading screen from the name of the map to something else. I also know about the loading screen situation and how to create my own loading screens. |

That is the map name, it cannot be changed from that. If you want something different there, but the same format, you must use a custom loading screen image. |
