MSAC #1

The modeling, skinning, and animating contest number 1.

There are teams of three, each team member can only do one task. Either model, skin or animate the unit they are making. Noone can be on multiple teams or do multiple tasks. Modellors are required to only model and unwrap their unit, skinners can only skin their unit, and animators only animate and add particles and effects to their unit.

The winner will be decided by a poll that everyone can vote in. Hows it sound?

I personally love the idea, I've always wanted a contest like this. And I'd gladly join a group and work my ass off.

Sure it sounds good, but I don't knwo where you'll get more than 1 team.

same here, I mean, there are not many animators around, and those who can animate prolly want to make the model? And would there be a theme?

Well then people need to start saying "Im in for _____." Then we tally up who applied and see.

So I guess I'll start. Im in for animation.

Even though this won't get anywere, I'm in for modelling. Just in case.

Oh, and the motivation is...?

I'm in for skinning.

I'm sure we could get a bunch of teams as in 4 or 5. I don't think there would a be a theme, just make the best unit. But sure, we could do a theme, that way there could be multiple MSAC #s.

The motivation would be for an award of course. If the wc3c staff would agree to give them. And also the aim would be to make more quality resources for the database.

that's too vague. for something wich is supposed to be big, this has no motivation. I mean just make a model and bla bla bla for a 4 year-old game and release it? There should be more than that. Mabye beg some blizzard or whatever art dude come here and take a look or something.

Maybe make a model for one of the hosted projects?
