Okay I can't make a great map on my own so I need probably 1-2 more people to help me out. I need someone who can make really fun, accurate, precise, and unbuggy missions (like the ones in NOTD Aftermath). I am a little behind in my work. Currently have 4 missions completed in my first chapter, aiming at 1-2 more for it, and want to finish the 2nd chapter this month and the third by next month. I'm not good with extremely advanced triggering so I also need someone to make a save/load system when i'm finished with my hero classes. Dependable people are especially valuable. I've had someone try to steal my map (the entire idea, pladuraised and stole all my customs, including some by myself) before and I cannot have it happen again. I'm not looking for the "average joe" i'm looking for dependable, valuable, trustworthy, dedicated people. For the map I also need you to research and accurately portray the Vietnam war without giving in to gameplay. The gameplay is the top priority, accuracy is not, although I try hard to make the game realistic. If you're interesting post who you are, what you're interesting in doing (almost any job will be acceptable), why you are wishing to help, and how dedicated you can be to this map. I am hoping to be able to release an alpha by next month and a beta within 3. The screenshots were taken a little while ago and I hope they will help you get a feel of what it will be like. |

I say add more trees, reduce the pathing blocking on them, for a more jungley feel. |

it depends, as a Vietnamese I can say that the battles with Americans was not only taken places in jungles but also in fields and cities: Total attack campaign 1972 was VietMinh atk on Southern cities and successfully captured some before being defeated. Search & Destroy Camp of USA be4 1972 was mostly done on Cuu Long Omega, later S&D Campaign after 1972 to 1974 it spread to jungles and high land. Liberation Campaign in 1975 started in jungle part Southern Vietnam with basic key atk was made on highland cities there. So the terrain depends what campaign of Vietnam war you want to describe. |

Hmmgz. This sounds like anoter of them glorifications of a horrible and wrong war. :/ Ho well. falcon's right, but most of the players most likely have no idea of that, and would prolly just ditch the map 'cause it didn't have any Vietnamese jungles. But that's up to the author to decide. Oh, and illidan, are you playing the viet cong or just USA? |

I don't know why you're getting so defensive about "A horrible and wrong war". We don't make maps to historically educate people, we make them for fun. I only found out about the cities after I made the terrain, so I will probably turn one of the villages into a city (most likely the northern one) sometime. I will add a field or two also. Theres M72 LAWs, M203s, M16a2s (upgrade from your M16), and classes. It kind of portrays NOTD Aftermath in a way, but yet again not at all. |

This map sounds awesome and i would like to help. One.. wait two problems: i am not good at making terrain or makig triggers. I am good at making custom spells and crud like that. Private message me. Im in school but im free alot so yeah. I could also research the stuff. You might want to get some skins though. Seriously P.M. me. 107 more seconds until I can post. You could probably make it so people could go into sub-classes after certain levels. Ex: Soldier-to-Demolitionist-to- sabotuer. Just a thought... |

Positions Open: Class designer - I only have 3 classes currently (rifleman, marksman, support) and I want to have at least 6, unique, fun heroes. I must have: an assaultman, forward observer, infantry unit leader, and some sort of special forces class. Requirements: Need some basic to advanced trigger knowledge to develope custom GUI or JASS enhanced abilities. Must be loyale and cannot have negative rep.. Codemaker (Need!) - I REALLY need someone to make a basic code system that saves and loads experience, kills, hits, and possibly 1 or 2 more things in the future. It must be tough to crack and the codes will only work for that player (much like the NOTD Aftermath code system.) Requirements: Extremely advanced JASS/GUI skills, and ability to meet the above needs. Must be loyale and cannot have negative rep.. Idea And Quest Designer - I currently am making a "story" mode where you and the team get on UH-1s (helicopters) and fly from island to island doing missions. I need someone to develope extremely fun, non-buggy and unique missions for this. For example I have one where you have to take out 3 SAM batteries (Anti-Air guns) with satchels, another where you have to take out a tank with an M72 LAW (rocket launcher), and one where the Vietnamese try to land on a beach and you have to defend it. I also want to have at least 2 other modes: Deathmatch Mode - I have 2 USMC camp sites on the map and 2 teams of five players will spawn at them and use landers, UH-1s, tanks, and more things to get around and kill eachother. Defense Mode - Theres many villages all throughout the map and the Vietnamese try to take control of these villages. The players have to have at least 1 village under their control for around 1-1 1/2 hrs, and the more villages they have under their control when the time expires, the more XP they gain. Requirements: Must have advanced triggering skills, unique and fun ideas (seriously), give a small mission idea here before you can be on the team, must be loyale and cannot have negative rep.. Below is an exclusive tactical map that will probably change when I add the fields and possibly the city in the future. The sectors have distinct tints in the image but not in the actual game. |

If you want the game to have a real feel to it, look for more shanty-like and cobbled together buildings to give more of an impression that it is being fought in Vietnam. Also, the jungles were alot thicker. |

I could pass the map on to you AllStarZ if you want to work on it. My production with it has halted due to wierd bugs i've found and constantly finding more as I add new stuff then taking 3 hours to fix them (very time consuming). You'll probably have to fix the current bugs then work on it yourself if you want. Also might want to play what I already have before you start but theres a bug that skips to the 2nd chapter which is like 1 hour of skipping the game. |
