DvO's Mario-type model/skin showing stuffs thread

I've decided to make more Mario-type models (and skins) and will show my comming works to you.

The picture I've uploaded shows two custom model and one reskin of another's model. Buzzy Beetle and Spiny is mostly done, and I thinking of reskinning Bloodslaughter's Little Boo model because the old one didn't look so Boo-a-like.

I will submit them as a pack (including the Thwomp) when I have finished enough SMB models/skin.
There is no clear decision of when I'll finish models or when I submit them, so don't expect too much.

Plans for other models/skins I'll probably make in no particular order (not sure if I will actually do them all):
Lakitu
Geno, from Super Mario RPG (if you're lucky :P )
Toadsworth
King Toadstool (if I feel like it)
Princess Peach
Snifit and ShyGuy
Wario and Waluigi
and maybe more

You have permission from Bloodslaughter to perform these operations on his model, right?

And what did you make the spiny fellow from? I'm guessing the frog.

Looking at those legs, it might be the Makrua, Turtle is possible too, or are they fully custom models?

No, and he is inactive (I think), wich will be difficult to ask him. I'm going to do only freehand skinning and submit only the skin (and give a link to the model plus crediting Bloodslaughter for the model).

But it won't hurt to try PM (or e-mail) him for a permission.

However, I've seen a lot of custom skins for custom models in wc3sear.ch were submitters usually say something like "A skin I made that requires Black_Stan's Hero Ronin model" (I wrote that model as an example) and they or Black_Stan himself didn't say they about permission.

For Spiny and Buzzy Beetle, the base model was the Scarab model (the bug that Crypt Lord summons from a decayed body).

I think Boo's expression is a tad too evil right now, but will you add alternate animations where he has the covered face? The rest looks quite nice, but I believe Buzzys are a bit more blue, not quite sure though.

EDIT- It would also be nice if you fixed up the other Mario stuff from Search, most of thme have poor skins and soem quality isues.

I'm not going to be the one to bust you on it, but some of the other art staff are rather more strict than I when it comes to obtaining permission; I would suggest you obtain it (if at all possible) ASAP to avoid potential problems at submit time.

Ja, I wouldn't hurt to ask. Or maybe I'll make a new one because the animations of Bloodslaughter's model is all too basic (doesn't move his arms and looks more like a floating Boo sculpture).

I followed the cartoon pictures in the manual book and they are about dark green-torquise. They are usually that in most Mario-games.

Ok, it's probably just the blueness of the underground levels. :)

EDIT- Oh, it seems like there's two variations of it, one with yellow skin and blue shell and the other like yours. I think the first one is from later games.

New model WIP, and this time a Kamek model. The hardest work on this was the UV editing.
